9w 3d and I found baby's heartbeat!!!! YAY! Music to my ears!
yay! Love that sound! I love listening to mine, it's become an addiction!
So jealous!!!!!!!!! Alright, I'm ordering one this weekend, and then I'm going a huntin'.
LOL! That's why I recorded it. So I won't bug him/her too much. Last time our midwife didn't want us bugging baby too often with the doppler. Once a week was probably more than she would have liked but whatever! : P
That was wonderful to hear!!!
LOL you have the will power of the gods! I would be listening 12 times a day!
I have always listened 4-5 times a week for the first few weeks 11-14, and then a couple times a week up until 18 weeks when I get regular movement. I just tried to keep the time short - to like 30 seconds once I found the heartbeat.
I do the same thing. I try to only look every few days but then only listen about 30 seconds when I find it.
Congrats on finding the HB Heather! It's a great feeling!
So happy for you! I would love to hear it, it would be so reassuring.
Come for a drive tomorrow and you can try finding it.
Actually I thought about coming your way sometime this weekend but I just don't know if I want to go that far from home...who knows when I'll feel like utter crap!
Let me know if you do! We will go get a coffee!
What a gorgeous sound! I didn't know the Doppler could bother them though. Maybe I shouldn't get one, I would make my baby crazy!!
Lauren, actually I don't think the doppler does any harm at all. I think it's more one of those, "better safe than sorry" type of things. Basically, as far as people know ultrasound technology does no harm to fetuses, BUT they use to think the same thing about X-rays, and obviously x-rays do pose a risk. SO... they like to have you limit it just in case later on they find out that if you use it excessively they do in fact cause harm. All of that said... they are safe, as far as we know!
This is why I don't have one.
Congrats Heather! Glad you were able to find it.
How awesome! I can't wait to make it far enough to break out my doppler!
