But to the question of who waits--Jewish families traditionally wait. I know my good friend didn't buy a single thing for her daughter until after she was born. It's some kind of tradition, I guess?

I had a few people when I was pregnant with DS that thought it was bad luck to buy anything before the baby was born too.

Ugh, I honestly don't believe in the whole 'bad luck' thing....and also, I'm a planner. There is no way I could handle giving birth with not a SINGLE thing for my baby!
