Ok so it looks like we are all lurking the board, looking for new posts, but no one is posting. So Hi! How is your weekend?
I'm gooooood. Just fell asleep on the couch. Now I'm awake and I want Blackforest cake. LOL
That sounds tasty!
We just got back from the sporting store, and got DS a BB gun.
Fun! For Christmas?
This morning we took DD to a Christmas event. She got to decorate a gingerbread cookies and have her face painted. We also saw Santa but she wouldn't sit on his lap. Oh well.
I'm making chicken stock from the roast chicken I made the other night and the whole house smells amazing. Of course if I drank any it would just taste like water...but it smells good!
Technically it is a Christmas gift, but we are bad at waiting, plus he was with us when we bought it, so no point in waiting.
LOL, what fun is Christmas if he gets everything now?
My DD has decided to ask Santa for squeaky shoes for Christmas. How great is that? LOL.
I love the squeaky shoes! today my mom, sister and her children visited. My mom cooked and baked so we have some food made for the week as i am on bed rest. It was nice to see them all.
just popped on real qiuck. its been a busy week/end! and now we have surprise company coming so I need to get some stuff straightned up
Ya, my daughter had squeaky shoes but they're SO tight now. i won't let her wear them out. She sometimes dances around the house in them. She can ram her feet in with no socks...barely!
I clicked on this thread so I thought I should post instead of not.
DH's family just left.. some are leaving to go back home tomorrow.. the others will fly out on Monday. MY mom is going to be stopping by soon. But all I wanna do is just sleep! lol..
TG day was amazing... and it's been awesome ever since..
MARY - I keep thinking about our Greek outting!
We found a house to rent today and I went shopping with mil. So it was a busy day and I am so freaking exhausted. But yay for new house!
I have been stopping in, but have been too busy to post. I still have family in, but they will be leaving on Monday. Most of the family knows now about the baby. MIL (she already knew) has told one of her friends, who is a big blabber mouth. So most people will probably already know before they get their Christmas cards . DH called her tonight and griped at her about it, but she has already done it, so what can you do? Otherwise we has a great Thansgiving. I have decorated for Christmas, but I am trying to find a tree to replace our main one. It is harder to find the right one than I thought it would be!
Leah - BLAH about your MIL spilling the beans. I HATE that. It makes me no longer trust that person with information. Trust is SO huge. Do you have a fake tree? I see people with trees up already and I figure they must have artificial ones...real ones would die by Christmas!
Adriana - sounds exhausting at your house. LOL. I'm glad my family is in town...they can just go home when they wear out their welcome.
Whitney - YAY for finding a place to rent!!!! That must be a big relief!
We took DD out to Boston Pizza tonight for dinner. She must be growing up, or we got lucky. She was SO freakin' good. She sat in her booster, didn't climb all over me the WHOLE meal. Ate some food. Ya, it was the best dinner outing with her since she was a baby and slept through meals. Now she's watching a few minutes of Sesame Street before bed.
We can't seem to keep things from him, birthday and christmas gifts usually get given before hand. He will get a few Santa gifts on Christmas day though, nothing big though. We also got him a new video card for his computer and bought Minecraft (he usually plays on DHs computer but DH wants to play with him over the network).
Adriana- I am looking forward to the lunch too! I told DH about it today.
Just stopping in real quick to say hey! We had a busy weekend. We were with family, had a birthday party tonight, and I had work today too. I'm exhausted! Can't wait for this over whelming exhaustion to go away. I'm having such a hard time functioning right now!
Yes, we do fake ones. I can't handle the mess a real tree makes. They have ones for sale around here, I don't know if people are buying them yet though!
I have found my kids act much better the older they get at restaurants. Which, of course, if we have to wait awhile for food that doesn't help! But they are so much easier now than they used to be.
We had DS2's birthday party yesterday
It was pretty low key - just a family dinner, cake and presents - since none of our family lives here. Here is a pic of my 1 year old monster!
Sandra, he is a cutie!
Heather, I like Kennedy's new pic in your siggy!
Aww happy birthday baby!
Sandra, he is so stinking cute! I love the one year old cake face picture!!!
Hey there everyone! SOunds like everyone has been doing well - and are busy!!
We went out and about yesterday to "the city." Since we live in a small town, and the city is 45 minutes away, so it's rarely a short trip when we go. We have to make use of the drive. Anyway, the main purpose of our voyage was to find me a red shirt because we had a family pic taken by a friend of ours this morning. My hubby and kids were all set with their outfits, but I just needed that shirt, lol. Well, mission successful. I can't wait to see our pics, I think they will be good. Our friend said she will play around with them for the next couple days, and then post them on her site.
Hummmm, never had restaurant issues here. Of course now that I've said that I'm probably in for it! Honestly though, whether we are at McDonalds, Costco, or Olive Garden the kids all do great. We only go to restaurants with a "wait" once or twice a year though. It's kind of a novelty, so they don't mind sitting and waiting for a little while. Plus, they know (as with everything in life) that if they misbehave, there are consequences!
Happy first birthday baby boy!!!!
Thanks! I posted it on FB and it has like over 50 likes and dozens of comments. I thought it was cute but wow! I haven't shown my mom because I might give her a photo gift or something with the pic on it.
