I love Emily! Too bad one of my bffs used it! I know too many people with kids!

yeah Emily is the name of a close friend. I do like it, just can't use it! ARG!!! this is not going to be easy. I think it will be worse since we aren't going to find out the gender this time!

Mel, I think another name that starts with a vowel would be super cute!! Aiden, Asher, Ava, Ainsley, Elijah or Eli, Evelyn, Eden Ivy...that's what I thought of off the top of my head.
I also have a first name for a last name and it's a girls name. It is SO ANNOYING. People always think my last name is my first name. Wish I could avoid that for my daughters but what can I do?

We are pretty decided on Jude Asher for a boy. For a girl we had liked Harper and Saylor but I'm kind of waffling on those now. If we find out we're having a girl we will probably end up starting from scratch.

Can't use Aiden or Ava - names of friends kids. Evelyn and Eden sound funny with our last name. I'll add Asher to the list! I like Ainsley too. not a fan of Elijah or Eli and hate Ivy (because of association with a girl in HS!)

    Jude sounds great with Gavin!

DH & I do NOT agree on boys names but easily agree on girls names. We haven't even discussed them yet this time. He really wanted to name DS Corbin but I vetoed it because it's fairly popular here. Having a VERY popular name myself, I hate the idea of a top 50 name but DH had a top 5 name too and he said he could care less so maybe it means less to guys? IDK. We ended up naming our DS (Dane) when he was born and didn't even consider that name until the last 2 weeks. Kind of random, but we love it now. Anyway, if we have a boy, I may give in and let him have the name. For a girl, I have no idea but I know we have similar taste so we'll figure something out quickly.

Very cute! I'm trying to talk DH into using Asher for a MN as well since DS is named after him We'll see how that goes... I LOVE Saylor and know a little girl named that but DH hates it. Boo.

A friend of mine just named her son Asher, it is different, but I like it! I have actually heard it several places the last week, and I have never before heard it, it must be getting popular.

Darn it names always get popular after I start liking them and before I can use them. I've liked it since 6th grade when I read the Giver DH vetoed it for a first name but I get the next kids middle name since we had to use his first name for DS's middle name.

I don't even know where to start! But I love talking about names. I sort of want to match DD's name in terms of syllables and sounds. Hers is Elaina Rose. I think it will be easier for me to start thinking about names once we know whether this is a girl or boy!
