I'm officially a negligent parent...

... I was writing a post here and baby boy (yes, that toddling one year old again...) got in the cupboard and popped the top off an extra ketchup bottle. I found him drinking ketchup... Surely this isn't a sign that I need to spend less time on this site, right... yeah... I should probably spend less time on this site... okay, off to find out what he's into now!!

Yesterday my big kids found my K'tan style carrier that I made, thought it was scrap facric and cut it to pieces to make clothes for their stuffed animals. It happens. Kids are crazy.

Oh no!!! Shoot... Sad

My kids have been crazy into scrap fabric lately too. My oldest dd is making a 4th of July dress for my 6 year old... I hope it turns out well enough that she can actually wear it for the day. She's hand sewing it, yikes! They are so excited though! Smile

I would love to see this when they're done! I loved sewing when I was little.

The control freak in me likes to know where DD is all the time. Easy with 1, but not so easy with 5 who are moving about the house. Our house is 3 floors but we have a baby gate to the basement so DD doesn't go down there very often. She's normally on one of the two levels. She doesn't really like being alone on a floor so that works for keeping an eye on her. I'm sure she'll get into stuff in no time though...

Heather, I can see the kitchen cabinet from the computer... the problem is that he's fast. If I look up every sentence or two then all would be well, but I got "lost in a post" LOL!

HA HA, so funny. It's hard to be 'on' all the time. At least it wasn't poison...ketchup is pretty messy though.

We still have locks on a bunch of our cupboards. There are two open for DD, the one with bowls and the one with leftover containers. Oh, and she can also get to the pot drawers. I don't mind her playing with those things. Our pantry doors are bi-fold closet doors and she has been pretty good about leaving the stuff alone in there...but then, she's older. The lower shelf is pretty much baking supplies like flour, oats, sugar, etc. which don't interest her. I moved the chocolate chips up a couple levels. Blum 3
