So I havent been on because I have been trying to get stuff straight at school. and now SCHOOLS officially out. I turned in my badge, had my room signed off on. and now baby can come! The principal commented to someone on the way by my room this morning that it was a good day bc I was there... and then later at an impromptu "shower" for a teacher we just found otu yesterday was 5months preg (and leaving to stay at home) he pointed out that earlier this year we had discussed when I was going to go out and he pointed out that he had told me that I could go after the last day... and I had been a trooper and was STILL there... The staff pointed out I still had 20 mins left before the day was "officially" over.. so I wonder if he will be right on his prediction of WHEN Ill have him? He said 5am tomorrow and the vice principal said 11 pm tonight and I could mark his words. lets see........

That's awesome that you made it to the end Patience! How cool would that be if baby did come as they predicted!!

    Where did everybody go?

I'm still hanging on. I think my BHs are getting stronger. I notice I'm subconsciously changing my breathing when they come. Perhaps they are moving into the realm of 'contraction'? Who knows. They're a bit longer too but not consistent or frequent. Midwife at 4:30 PST.

Heather, those are definitely contractions! YOu know, for MOSt people in labor contractions last a minute or longer. I spend most of early labor with contractions only lasting 30 seconds, so you just never know how your body will be. For me I feel them low down too, not really "all over." With my first baby they almost sent me home because even though I was cranking out contractions 3 minutes apart for an hour (as shown on the monitor) they were only lasting about 35 seconds. They just didn't think I was really in labor. When I had Aidan, the midwife was blown away too that my contractions were only lasting about 30 seconds. If it hadn't been my 5th baby she would have thought I was crazy for thinking I was actually in labor. I think she kind of doubted me anyway! LOL Anyway, I can't wait to hear about your appointment today. I'm so hoping it's a good one (and they are able to do a sweep!).

Things are picking up again, not that it means anything. I just had a contraction strong enough that I realized I moaned out loud--and I'm sitting here at the pool surrounded by strangers. Ha! Oops. Tonight would be bad, it's Tori's first swim meet of summer and she's looking forward to it. :/ then again... I think we have something we don't want to miss on the calendar every day. So...

in other near-labor news, the cleansing continues. Wow, I didn't think it was possible for my intestines to be that full considering how much trouble I have had eating. I must have gotten up to use the bathroom another four times last night.

As for life in general, it is so cold here! My kids are freezing in the pool today. Yuck.

Chelle, good news about the cleansing I guess, lol! Oh, that would be sad if you missed the first swim meet. I swam competitively for 6 years. Such good memories. I also taught private swimming lessons for 2 summers... and right now NONE of my kids can swim. Go figure! My oldest had severe water phobias though and I didn't want to push anything on her. SHe is 1,000 times better now though. The older 3 are going to learn this summer for sure! Patience - I'm off to read your update...

I am here, ugh. I have to keep telling myself that it is ok to still be pregnant and that other than the hip pain this really isn't that bad, but really I am just tired of being tired and am ready for her to come out like NOW! I have an appt. today as well, at 3:30, and I am really debating asking them to strip my membranes, I will be 40 weeks tomorrow.

We did make a trip into town yesterday (our big once a week grocery shopping trip). I forgot what it's like to have a newborn/nursling along. We got going - first stop 20 minutes away from home. Ran into store for 1 minute to purchase a bag of pine shavings. Baby was screaming by the time I got back to the van. Odessa (my oldest) insisted she needed to eat. So, I nursed her. 10 minutes later we were on our way again. 30 minutes later we arrived at another quick stop - only about 10 minutes. Madelyn managed to scream for most of those 10 minutes, but I didn't bother to put her in the ergo since it was just a quick stop. Then we were off to our next stop (about 10 minutes away, and Madelyn did fine in the car). This is one of the big stops. I figure Madelyn should be fine because she ate at the first stop. WRONG! I put her in a front carrier (ergo) and she screams for the first 15 minutes or so we are in the store. Finally she falls asleep. I guess she was hungry, oops. Back to the van and I try to nurse her before we leave, but she is OUT!! There is no waking this kid up. We head to the next stop that is about 10 minutes away. It's the farmer's market and I just need to grab a couple items here. I leave the kids in the van for the 5 minutes it takes (I can see the van the whole time). I get back and Madelyn is screaming and my oldest dd is holding her and trying to calm her down. I nurse her for 15 minutes (a combo of both sides). Now she is out again. We head to Costco which is again, about 10 minutes away. I put her in the ergo and she is FINALLY content. We finish all of our shopping and make the 45 minute trip home without issue. I forgot how frequently those little ones need to eat sometimes! She really is a very content baby - unless she is hungry! I'm not sure what is going on with my computer - it won't let me "enter" to make a new paragraph so this is going to be one big paragraph I guess! Lynn - I'm glad you're managing to stay relaxed about still being pregnant. I think I would be antsy if I were you, having had a couple that were so early. Heather - I am so hoping they can at least find your cervix this week, and a sweep would be even better. I can't wait to hear how your appointment goes. Sandra - I'm sure it was nice having your mom there to help. Actually it worked out nice that you got her help after baby was here instead of when you were in labor. Hopefully you can get your internet up and running soon. Are they suppose to come out again to install it anytime soon? Nothing major going on here today. I will do a little school with the kids (we school year round and we took quite a bit of time off in the couple months before baby came). SOme people from church are lined up to bring us some dinners over the next few days (one is coming tonight), so that will be nice. Oh, and we ordered a chicken run that is suppose to be delivered today. I'm excited to get that up for the chickens.

Just wanted to let you know about the "enter" button issue. It's a known issue in the latest version of IE when using vBulletin forums. Switch to Firefox or Chrome and you can use the enter button again.
