We actually met at a camp where we were both volunteering for the summer. He came over as an international student from Romania (his first time in the US), and I was just a regular old college student. We only met the last couple weeks of the summer because we were on separate sides of the camp (a lake was in the middle). Anyway, after camp he went out to California to stay with his brother, and I went back to college life, which happened to be La Crosse, WI. Thanks for checking out my space!
Woohoo! That's cool. My sister graduated from Stevens Point! Cool about how you met your husband too. You're making me miss the mid west now. We lived in MI for the first 8 years of our marriage, but we moved to NM 2 years ago. We love it here, but there are of course things about the mid west that I love too. Are you still in that area?
I was interested by your space too! We had a doctor tell us that because of DH's sperm we'd never get pg on our own (even though he had a 12 year old already!). The doctor started to talk to us about adoption...this was all done a few days before Christmas. I was so devastated. (Interestingly he and his wife adopted, so perhaps he is a bit jaded on TTC?) Anyways, I have often thought about going back to that doctor and telling him to get stuffed! How rude!
Laurie, I find it funny you think of MI and WY as midwest, because I think they are frozen wastelands, j/k... I miss NM dearly and wish we could move back.
