HA HA, wow, that's worse than around here. :P
He claims he can cook well, but I don't know I have never seen it. It's not as if I am very good at cooking, so I am really not giving him any incentive to not cook.
LOL, you ladies are cracking me up. DH is partly SAHD so even though he isn't much of a cook he has learned to put together some meals and especially lately is the one that makes sure dinner is on the table. If it was up to me we would not having anything made at home too often. I'm totally worthless in the first tri between the exhaustion and the nausea. I get home from work and laze around until dinner is ready, eat dinner and then lay down to settle my food, ending up taking a nap while DH gives the boys a bath. Then he wakes me about 9 and I finish bedtime so he can go ahead and get in bed b/c he has to be up for his early morning shift at work. I'm lucky he is sympathetic to how I feel. :)
We had our turkey dinner around 2 pm and I didn't get any pictures. It was sooo yum though and I can't wait for a turkey sandwich for lunch tomorrow. Hope everyone celebrating today had a Happy Thanksgiving. It was a nice lazy day here. My mom came over and we cooked our meal. DH fries the turkey so I don't have to worry about that part. :)
DS1 had a little bug today though...he was wiped after lunch and felt a little warm to me although he always insists he's not sick when he is. ;) So he voluntarily laid down, a sign for sure, and then later got sick a couple of times. My awesome DH cleaned that up so I didn't have to. I really don't want to get sick with a stomach bug...ugh! But, he seems to be doing better tonght although I'm keeping a bucket close by but hoping it really was just short lived.
My DH is actually a pretty good cook! His mom was a caterer. :-) When we first got married he did use to cook some, as we were both working. Now, I do basically all the cooking except for an occasional meal. I'm home all the time, and he is out working - many weeks are 50-60 hours. It would make no sense for him to do the cooking now. My cooking has definitely improved as the years go by. I guess out of necessity. We don't have the money to eat out, and even many of the frozen meals (other than a pan a value lasagna) are pretty pricey!
Lynn, I'm sorry about the tummy bug... we had 3 weeks of kiddos with on and off stomach issues, and it happened to also be when my MS was the worst. My DH didn't clean up a single incident either... he was afraid he'd catch it, and then wouldn't be able to work, and we need him to work! UGH. I hope that's the end of it for you!!!
Thanks Laurie :). Sounds like your household had it way worse than mine though. It's always miserable when your kiddos get sick.
