Usually they say more than a pad an hour, or large clots. But if you are worried about how much bleeding is going on, go back to the ER or call the Doctor or nurse line.

I've been going thru about 2 to 3 pads an HOUR. I emailed my dr.... Maybe she will respond by the time I wake up. If not I'm going to call her.

I am just now seeing this...I hope it slowed down or you went on in to the ER...I can tell you I didn't bleed anything near what you describe with my natural m/c. There were some large clots but after passing that just regular period bleeding. Please update us when you can.

Star, I hope everything is OK and your Dr. got back to you. I had a natural miscarriage once and it was pretty bad with the bleeding and the clots. They should be able to give you an U/S to see if there is anything left in your uterus.

    So sorry sweetie.

I had a natural miscarriage and only bled really bad that one day. The other days were much like a regular period. Hope you were able to get through to your doctor and get some answers!

Oh sweetie, I'm so sorry you are going through this! When I had my miscarriage and the bleeding and cramps "really started" I was going through a pad every 10-15 minutes!!! Basically I just sat on toilet as blood and clots were pouring out of me. Of course DH and I knew we needed to head to the er. Once there they did a pelvic exam and tried to somewhat "help" the clots out. At one point they think they had what "might have been" the baby. Well, when I left the ER 4 hours later my bleeding had slowed to a pad about every 2 hours, and I was still cramping. I continued to cramp and bleed at a rate of 1 pad every 2-3 hours for the next day and half until FINALLY I passed a huge mass of tissue - the size of my hand. After that the cramping stopped and the bleeding slowed way down.

Anyway, I have no idea what is going on with you now, but it is normal to bleed a LOT, and have HUGE clots. Also, if the cramping and bleeding is still bad, then you likely have not actually passed the baby yet. When you do, the cramping and bleeding will slow way down. If you do pass a lot of tissue, but the bleeding and cramping doesn't get much better please go to the ER - there could possibly be some retained tissue and you would possibly need a D&C.

Much longer with the bleeding. Hope not. Also
Got something for pain. I hurt so
Bad last night. Like I was in labor. It would start every
Couple of minutes... Last about a minute and stop.

I'm sorry I keep talking about it....

Hey Star, thanks for updating!! I'm glad you got something for the pain - yes, it does feel like labor...

I for one, don't mind if need to talk about. SOmetimes it just helps to talk and get out what you are feeling.
