maternity pant styles

Just wondering what kind of styles everyone wears. 99% of all my maternity pants are demi panel and im not sure if im loving it. I always feel that i have to lift them and it was like that when i was pregnant with DS.

the styles are

Demi panel
Full panel
extended panel

i think i might have to get some more shirts because i have like 3 maternity shirts to last me the winter I borrowed some from my sister with DS and she gave it all away after she had her son

I'm not wearing mine yet but they are the full panel I think. Last pregnancy they'd be fine fresh out of the dryer but they'd slowly stretch out throughout the day and then I'd be constantly pulling them up. Well I weighed 11 lbs lighter at the start of this pg so I'm guessing they are going to be TERRIBLE.

Yes, 3 shirts isn't enough. Check your local CL for some deals!

I have some demi and full and I like the full better for sure. The demi right now make me look fat instead of pregnant haha.. but full are always more comfortable to me in the long run.

Hi! My name is Jessica..I'm new here and haven't had a chance to write a hello post. Smile

But, these were my favorite with my first and I think I'll like them this time around too. They ahve a lot of different styles and price points with the secret belly fit. It's nice because you can fold it half way down utnil you belly is bigger and then wear it full once you have a big belly. Smile And it's a super think material, so it hides nice under shirts and is comfortable.

im not sure if i am going to be comfortable with something on my belly but i do like the idea it being high up so im not picking it up constantly.

I've never had maternity pants with any sort of panel. I've always just done stretchy bands. The only maternity jeans I own are these from Old Navy in dark and light wash. A full panel would drive me nuts. I did have issues with having to pull up my pants the last month but I always wear long tanks so I don't worry about showing crack or too much belly Wink

I wear the Old Navy low rise maternity. I HATE the panels! towards the end you have to pull them up alot, but I have a feeling they are all that way! I told DH that I will be needing my maternity shirts soon. My pants will be ok for a couple of more weeks I think.

I had full panel capris and the waistband only ones for a pair of work pants.

I liked both, but loved the way full panel felt.

Can I just say that I HATE maternity pants! I have tried a few different kinds and they all suck! I feel like I have to pull my pants up all day long and I look frumpy. I'd rather get regular pants 2 sizes bigger then where maternity. Those secret fit belly ones are the worst, I hate anything going over my belly. I have said beofre in other posts that I LOVE my black yoga pants. Perfect for pregnancy!!!

Yoga pants are my absolute favorite thing to wear, but when I need jeans or dress pants I like the full panel ones, but I fold the panel in half.

With my first pregnancy, I mostly bought bigger sizes too. I carried her pretty high so they mainly needed to be big enough to accommodate my ever-growing tush! It worked out well having normal pants that we slightly bigger than normal while I was working my weight back down too!

Edit: I worked in an office during my first pregnancy and understand how hard it is to dress professionally in maternity. Ugh. Such a pain.

Last time I had to look decent for work so I had nice dark wash jeans from Thyme Maternity. I got more compliments on those jeans than any other pair in my life. They had a full panel but it was soft and could be folded so didn't bother me. I MIGHT buy one more pair this time but they are very pricy. I have several airs of jeans a few sizes too big from post-partum earlier this year, so I'm hoping they will work for me for most of this pregnancy until we get into the warmer months and I can wear dresses more often.

i agree, look on used sites! I get lots of kids and maternity gear on Facebook swap sites. Today I just scored a wool maternity coat for the winter for $25!!!

I like the full panel for jeans best. The low rise hurt me when I sit down. But right now yoga pants are the best for sure!

Ya, I guess yoga pants wouldn't be appropriate for work, lol. Didn't think about that. Although I would probably try to get away with it and say it's dress pants. haha. I do have a pair of dress pants that always fit big so when i'm pregnant they fit perfectly, but can't imagine having to dress professionally all the time using maternity clothes.

I'm a full panel kind of gal Wink My belly gets so enormous that I need the support to help me hold it up. Sometimes I fold it down but usually it's all the way up. I like feeling secure and knowing my belly isn't popping out beneath my shirt or anything.

And I really like my mat pants! If you can find a style that fit well, you can't even tell that they're not regular jeans/slacks.

I wear a mix of the full panel and the demi., whatever I find that is long enough basically. I figure I am uncomfortable anyhow, pants don't really matter much.

I have a few of each. I found the bigger I got the more I felt like my jeans with the full panel was falling down. BUT I think I am going to totally try them tomorrow with it folded halfway. I wore my normal jeans today and they are SO uncomfortable. luckily they stretched enough they went under my belly so it wasnt too bad.. I tried a pair of next size up jeans this morning but they fit too big everywhere BUT the belly bc I lost a bunch of weight over hte last year and so now they are baggy in the butt, and in the thighs. so I dont htink that hte next size up is going to work. I think next week Im going to have to go to maternity pants for work. my next sizes up arent cutting it and its too uncomfortable. apparently its getting around at work now (had 2 more ppl come ask me) so Im not as worried about it being noticble that Im startng to show.

I wear the old navy low rise too. Super comfy! I do switch off to full panels too but I don't like feeling so confined lol

ok broke down and put on the maternity pants todday bc I wanted to be comfy. the only thing I now remember I HATE baout the full panel? Even when I fold the top down (still not big enought ot have it up all the way on my bely... the top pokes out) when I walk bc the jeans are sto stretchy I feel like htey are falling down... my favorite pair was a pair that was just like REG jeans...button and all but thn there was a panel insert that would cover my belly so ti was almost like having a shirt underneath that would never ride up. but of course that pair is too big .
consignment shop trip today maybe?
