I'm sorry I've been MIA, I haven't even had chance to lurk. I feel like all of a sudden I've been really busy, which compounded with the really tired, means I've literally climbed into bed every night as soon as I put the kids down around 8:30.
But I wanted to let you know about my appointment on Monday. It was very uneventful, but very good. I had been procrastinating because I wasn't sure I wanted to go back to the birth center, but I also didn't want to go back to an OB. Anyways, I found a practice that has 4 midwives, along with doctors, that deliver in the hospital. I am guaranteed a midwife for delivery and it sounds like they will do everything just like I want it. All my worries were put to rest, no continuous monitoring, no IV, they have tubs, and they even managed to put a natural birthing suite in the hospital with a regular, non-hospital bed.
As far as the appointment, they confirmed my pregnancy and that was about it. I go back in 3 weeks for bloodwork and doppler, and then an U/S at 18 weeks, which is just what I was hoping for.
I'm so glad I have one less thing to worry about now.

Oh Rachel! I'm so happy for you! That center just sounds lovely! You're going to ADORE the midwife experience. I'm not sure why anyone uses an OB actually. Midwives are so great. Even with my c-section being done by an OB I got an early hospital release because I was under the car of midwives. The OB worked great with my midwives and knew they were capable of all my after care. Ahhhh...so great. I'm not sure if it's the same there, but here the midwives come to your house to do all the well baby checkups. SUCH a time savings!
