Default My HCG & Progesterone levels....

So, I got the results from the Friday blood draw. Nurse said they were fine. I had to ask for the actual numbers!
I think they seem low for me, but they are in the normal range, so I guess its fine!

Friday would have been 6 weeks -- HCG: 12,952 and progestrone was 29. For comparison, I had levels done with my first two pregnancies they were:

Kendall 4 weeks + 3 days (I was bleeding): 797 then at 4 weeks + 5 days: 2485. If I double that number every two days until 6 weeks I get 39,760. I was never told my progestrone level with her.

Quentin 5 weeks + 3 days HCG was 22,863 and progesterone was 33.2. Again, if I double that until 6 weeks, I get 91,452.

I'm probably being paranoid -- maybe I shouldn't have asked for the numbers!

Typically after your HCG level goes above a certain number it slows down and it actually takes anywhere between 48-72 hours to double. Also your progesterone seems really good, my levels the last two pregnancy have not gone above 20.

This is why when they told me mine were fine I didn't ask for the numbers!! I knew I would worry! Try to trust the Dr. that all is ok!

Your progesterone is definitely good. HCG once you get that far along has such a huge range of normal it really doesn't tell you much, especially just a single result. That's why most info you find will say once you get to 6 weeks an u/s is a much better indicator of the health of the preg than HCG levels. So I agree with others, go with the docs advice that all looks good.

Your numbers are completely fine!!! HCG stops doubling when it gets in the 1000s it's normal to take 3, even 4 days to double. Your progesterone is high - so that's good! Mine was only 10.9, and I was told anything above 10 is what they want to see.

I'd say you are okay too. Every pregnancy is different!

After seeing that chart, I recomputed Kendall and Quentin. Quentin is just off the charts, but Kendall was much closer to my current result. He would have been 45,726 at 6 weeks and Kendall would have been 19,880. I feel better now! Thanks for all the support ladies!!
