Ladies, my hips hurt so bad. Are any of you experincing this type pain? At the end of my pregnancy with Alex it was really bad, but don't remember it hurting like this to the very end. It hurts to walk AND, I am super sick with a cold that have my whole body hurting, even my eyes...

So sorry! I get a bit of hip pain, but mostly for me it is groin/pelvic/pubic pain. My groin is so sore, it hurts to walk.

Is it bad at night? Make sure you are propping up your belly and supporting your knees with pillows at night. I've heard that can help alleviate hip pain a bit.

I will try that Sandraleigh thanks, Yes its the worst at night, and I think that is why I have been waking up on my back alot which freaks me out. I toss and turn from each side cause both hurt so bad. Dont get much sleep at night, I"m trying exhausted, from running to the bath room, to trying to stay off my back to my hip. I"m going to invest in one of those pregnancy pillow. I just have to.

Mine hasn't been bad and is really only at night when lying down for a while. But, I've been sleeping with a medium size pillow between my knees, one I took off the couch. It really helps to not get too sore lying on my side...I think just keeps the top leg more up and parallel to the bottom with less twisting. I've never had a pregnancy pillow so I can't comment on those. I hope you can find something to relieve the pain.

I have been looking at maternity support belts because my belly is so blasted low and hangs down way over my pants. It's uber uncomfortable. Which did you get? I just can't decide.

Hip pain started for me in mid December when I was about 14 weeks pregnant. Terrible. I couldn't even walk for 20 minutes in the mall without being in excruciating pain. I started going to the chiropractor and massage therapy back then and it has really helped. One of the muscles or ligaments that attaches to the top of my hip at the back was tight. The massage therapist said that when I bent over towards my toes one hip would rotate like it should and the other wouldn't.

Things were better for months and then this weekend they got bad again. I'm still going to chiro every 2 weeks for maintenance but I haven't been going to massage. I need to book another appt.

As for sleeping, I have a memory foam wedge pillow for between my thighs and a wedge pillow for under my belly. SO cozy. I hope you can get some rest! That will help your body heal.

My knee pillow is like this:

    Heather, 37

    Kennedy - b. 01.26.10 after 15 cycles of TTC
    Marshall - b. 06.17.13 after 3 cycles of TTC

I get hip pain that's horrid too. I use a heating pad on my tailbone are 1-2x a day and that helps some.
