Thread: Names

Well since we arn't finding out I'm guessing we should pick out a boy name and a girl name. We like to have a name picked out before baby is born. I'm finding it hard to pick out a boy name this time because we already names 2 boys and can't think of anymore I really like. We have had a girl name picked out ever since me and DH have been together so that shouldn't be to hard but we arn't set on it and we need to find a middle name too.
It's a coincidence that out boys names end in both "as" (thomas, nicholas) but I can't find any other names that end in that and sound like it.

Douglas, Elias, Lucas, Silas, Phineas, Tobias, Matthias? That's a cute "theme" for the boys names!

I have no idea. If it's a boy his middle name will be William which is dh's middle name, his dad's first name (well Guillermo the Spanish version), and my brother is Will. Beyond that ... No clue.

im the same way something about J names, for a girl i like Jaylynn or Julianna, (Julianna is my favorite) for boy i like Noah but DH doesnt like Noah at all so im not sure

I have no idea. Jon and I fought over names a ton in the past--and we never fight about anything, ever. This will not be fun. He always wants old man names like George and Charles. Sigh.

I don't do names that have nicknames. I name my kids what I want to call them. That's my biggest rule.

My girl middle name is Morgan, which is my Grandmother's maiden name. That's all I've got.

We compromised on Gavin's name kind of and Dh is so not the type to "let me have the final say" but I have convinced him to use my name for a boy this time which is Jude Asher. He likes Jude but not Asher. Gavin's middle name is his first name so he needed to get over it and he did. For girl names we had picked out Harper Sage but now I think Harper is too popular which is what happened to me with Gavin's name. I want Saylor, maybe with my middle name, Jade. DH likes Saylor but he likes Harper more. If it's a girl we may start over from scratch not sure.

Sandra, I love Ainsley too. That is actually at the top of our girl list...well it's a really short list with one name on it. We have a history of not naming our kiddos until after they are born. DS2 was a surprise and Ainsley was at the top of our girls list then. I'm sure it would have been the name if he had been a girl and it's the only girl name that I even remember from our previous list. We haven't talked about it yet though so I have no idea what we'll come up with when it's time. We won't start looking until after we find out this time which will be at 18 weeks. We will all start finding out soon after Christmas which will be here before you know it. I am starting to feel like this pregnancy is going quickly.

I do like Douglas! It's not on the top 100 list so I never even thought of that name. It will definitely have to be considered. Thank you!

Our children names were picked out from our dating days back in 2001...lol. Guess we just knew we would be married and a family. It took longer then we would have imagined to have our first but the wait was so well worth it. Couldn't imagine me and DH both in the miltary at the time trying to have Alex (even though people do it all the time). But going back and fourth out to sea would have been difficult...sorry a little off topic..lol

But Alexandria Raye was her name for years and if she was a boy it would be Roman Louis. So we know if the baby is a boy his name will be Roman. We decided on Ava Reagan once I confirmed I was pregnant. DH calls the baby Ava now

Alex was called Roman by DH up until our 18 week scan. So my thinking Ava will acutally be Roman at my 18 week appointment lol

I love the name Roman...mainly because I love Rome.
