Nesting!

How is everyone's nesting going? Are you feeling the urge to get things organized?

Nesting is in full swing over here. Not so much the cleaning, but the organizing of things and setting them up. On the weekend I got 3 CL scores....2 bamboo cloth diapers, my favorite breast feeeding pillow and a Mamaroo swing! I'm super happy with all my deals!

We've also been working on our bedroom (also new baby's temporary nursery). We finally got nice curtains for in there. We've lived here over 5 years and still had up the white mini blinds and ugly bamboo shades that the place came with. Ugh. They were ugly and didn't do a great job of keeping light out. Our new curtains are SO nice. I still need to hem them as they were from Ikea and came in one length.

I am supposed to be packing, we move in two weeks, and am finding the task absolutely daunting and just want to cry at the thought of it.

Yikes! Moving in 2 weeks! I couldn't handle that....

Glad you are prettying things up with new curtains, Heather! New curtains always make a room feel better Smile

Now that my trip is over, I am planning on spending this month getting ready for baby. I need to start pulling bins out of the garage and finding all the NB clothes!

I have started and finished lol. Now I'm adding things to the house like curtains, hanging pics, and working on decorating (and hopefully moving dd to) her new room.

I couldn't imagine moving this far along.

We bought our house six weeks before Tori was born. I cried a lot. I feel your pain!!!

we have set aside this weekend as home projects weekend. Painting, putting down some tile, setting up the nursery, etc. I'm excited!

Ehn, not really. I am thinking about a few things I would like to get done. And I definitely am liking things being clean. But not really nesting. The clothes are already washed and put away, but I do need a new dresser for the LO. And I need to get a new sheet for the LO's bed. We are prepping DD though by teaching her to fall asleep on her own, and I finally ordered her mattress cover so that we can get her out of diapers at night. All good things to do pre-baby!

My mom moved during all three of her pregnancies, including one at 38 weeks, and one at like 7 (to me that sounds worse lol). I have no idea how I would handle a move... I walk into a room and forget what I'm doing!

I am working up a schedule of what needs to be packed and when... I think I am just going to get paper plates and cups for the next couple weeks and pack up the kitchen tomorrow, booo I just hate packing, but I cannot wait to move.

I bet it will feel so nice to be all set up in your new place and ready for baby!

I keep waiting for spring....because I have to clean out the garage and find all the bins of clothes, but it is blizzarding again today! Ugh. Maybe next week. I don't want to clean out the garage if I have to do it in the cold and dark because I can't open the doors without letting snow in.

I have the urge to nest but no energy to actually do anything about it. I'm totally frustrated with the condition of my house. I cleaned for a while Sunday night and after just an hour or two of not that strenuous work, just being up, my belly was sooo heavy and I felt like I was moving in super slow motion.

I actually did a lot of cleaning this winter, so overall things feel pretty good around here. There is one big project that I want to get done before baby comes though. We have a little outdoor cabin building. I want to finish painting that (I started just a bit in the fall). Also, we need to "clean up" our 2.5 acres. We have little shrubs growing everywhere. We don't have a riding mower or a tractor, so I just want to hire someone to come "flatten everything" but DH is not so sure.... sigh.

I am going nuts because big stuff needs to be moved so I can get things ready and I am itching to do so.

Hubby is a little slow in this department. Darn closet needs to be cleaned up (its all his stuff in there) before I can organize her room. Once that is done, cleaning and hopefully hiring someone to come in and do a really good deep clean. I need to organize before that happens though.

Mine is too, but I think he is realizing how close the baby is to coming and he is doing better!

I just calmly explain to mine that XYZ is starting to really stress me out because I feel the need to get everything organized for baby. I'm sure he thinks I'm nuts but he still does the stuff. LOL
