New Baby's Sleeping Arrangement

I was inspired by Pinterest and this baby is going to live in the closet. :)

Seriously. My closet is very large. I can put a crib, a rocker and abookcase in there. It has heat/air vents and lighting. I already bought a large wadrobe for my room and moved all the clothes out of the closet. After my ultrasound we will start painting and decorating and making a real little room out of it. Baby will stay there for about 18 months and then we will reassess. We have three bedrooms. Tori and Lucas share their cool treehouse room we built them for Christmas. We might put a toddler bed in there and let all three share. I'm not sure.

The third bedroom doubles as a playroom and guest room. My family is large and spread out and I'm the most centrally located. I never have one overnight guest. I end up with five. Or seven. Or more. Having a guest room isn't really optional for us. We are going to put a bunk bed with a trundle so that it sleeps three. If one of our kids would rather move in there, we will figure it out.

I've seen that before and it's a great idea. We have a VERY large closet too...totally a decent wee nursery size. Too bad it's so full of clothes we'd need 4 wardrobes and 2 dressers to hold it all! LMAO! Ok, not that much but you get the idea!

I LOVE the closet idea!! Seriously love it. If DH and I were in the master bedroom I would absolutely do that. Unfortunately, our girls have the master bedroom, and baby boy will be in there for a couple years too (until the new little one is ready to share a room with him). There closet is in full use right now.

Hummmmmm, maybe I can turn the closet in the master bedroom into a boy's room at some point though....

I used pillow cases. worked like a charm. And the baby room in a closet is a kewl idea. I will have to look that up, but I have PLENTY of room for us. We have a farm house with 3000 sq feet and 4 bedrooms. And our master used to be 2 big bedrooms but they tore down a wall and its now one HUGE room. I love it. I have space on one side for baby with extra and the other side has our king bed and dressers etc. our closets are tiny tho as it was built in the 1840's. :(

That might work for a bassinet, but I'm pretty sure a Travel Lite Crib is too big.

Wow, your house sounds really nice Kia!! Although, I think that would be too much space for me... I like space, but I don't like cleaning more space, and I can't imagine how much more it would cost to heat and cool, yikes. Our house is half the size, 1500 sq. ft, and 3 bedrooms. But we lived in 200 sq ft. for a year prior to buying this house, so it seems plenty big enough!! :-)

We had Travel Light Crib in pink! The pillow case worked :D

Sounds like my in-laws house. Me, I can't keep 1300 SQfeet clean!
