Nurse Appointment Update
So, I had my first visit today. Met with the nurse and went over all the family history, prior pregnancies, discussed testing, etc. She gave me tons of forms with lots of info, a whole bag full of prenatal vitamin samples, a gerber cooler bag for bottles later on, info on the hospital delivery ward (it's a new hospital), classes that my older kids can take, etc.
They did a urine screen and took more blood from me than I remember in the past (like 7 vials). One of the tests they are running is an HCG/progesterone level and I should have the results on Monday (my first appointment with the Doctor). The nurse said my doc will confirm my due date, but she thinks it will be June 22 (that's what I computed as well).
Overall, just very routine. Sounds like I likely won't have an ultrasound until they do the 12 week first trimester screen. Darn; you are all making me so jealous that you have gotten them already!

Sounds like a nice normal appt! I love all the freebies you go!!! They took 7 vials of blood from me too! Gag!

Wow, that is a lot of blood! Well, at least that's out of the way. Sounds like you are off to a great start.

I was fine with no U/S now, I was just hoping for one before the 12 week screen

Glad you had a good appointment. Sorry you didn't get a u/s but it's probably better @ 6 weeks not to IMO. They took a ton of blood from me too and it made me pretty lightheaded for a while!

Jealous of all your freebies. I got magazines .... They didnt even discuss/ask me about prenatals. (and I forgot to tell them I was taking one). Heather I did get an ultrasound and I was 6 w 1 day and it showed.
