Emma is doing good, big as always. Her heartbeat was 150, and they found it like 2 inches ABOVE my belly button! I was very shocked. I had lots of questions to ask as I usually do and got them answered. I did gain a bit of weight back which makes my OB happy (not me). I did find out the discharge I?ve been having probably is very very light bleeding so they continue me on bed rest. I had no restrictions lifted. They still want me only doing light housework and resting most of the time. They said no chiropractor for my back pain because I have never been to one and they don?t suggest starting to go while pregnant if you have never been. She did say to call if it gets bad and get something for pain.
They told me they are shooting for 23 to 26 weeks and my give me a steroid shot for her if im still bleeding and having cramping. My personal goal is 36 weeks. As far as the dizzy spells with headaches they suggested putting more protein in my snacks, so I stopped and got sausage sticks from the store. The good news is baby is doing good and I was given the go ahead to go back to sleeping upstairs! But I still have to avoid lifting DD.
I did get to tour the birthing center and it was awesome! It ended at the door of dh?s cousin who had her baby Wednesday. Loved it
YAY for a good appt but BOOOO for having no restrictions lifted.
I started the chiropractor for the first time when I was like 8 months pg with DD so I don't get why they'd say that! Perhaps they don't really know how chiropractors work. What about massage therapy?
YAY for a tour. Is this a new birthing center for you???
it is a new hospital, new birthing center, new OB, and new city. no taking chances of a repeat of DD's birth here. the ob just said to try a heating pad, ice, and to all if it is too bad to handle. I guess this baby is like 3 weeks ahead for size lol! I think the bed rest is doing wonders, baby getting all my energy and all. O and you would think since in on my back, side, or butt all day id have no back issues right?
Since they won't let you see a chiropractor what about a prenatal massage?
I would call them. Back pain is one of the only things I can't handle much of, and being on bedrest with limited choice of positions would be terrible.
