Default OB and gd test today. *Update*

Emalyn's hb was fast tho I had just drank the sugary drink for my gd test, so that seems normal. I am measuring 37 weeks! Ahhh I knew I felt huge lol. I also gained 2 lbs in two weeks. She said to keep monitoring Em a few times a day after I eat, just till 10 movements and otherwise just to be aware of her movements. She offered to change my heartburn med but said then I couldn't take tums with it so I stayed with what I'm taking. Dr Goldman was concerned about my continued contractions so checked me and my cervix is shortening and not as firm. Em is head down and she could fee her when she checked me so shes obviously ready to go. She decided not to give me the next steroid shot bc they are more effective right before birth for the second dose so if it looks like I'm headed there and my water hasn't broken they will give me meds then to stall and give me the shots. We discussed the next steps and she said she's going to be greedy and hope for 30 weeks tho if the contractions keep coming who knows.

The gd test is over! I did get heartburn from it and a stomach a h but otherwise it was fine. When I got there to get the drink the lab had lost my orders so I was almost late for my OB apt. After the OB I went back and the one lady wouldn't listen to me and dug around in one spot before giving up then the next lady used the spot I told her and it worked right away. Now I'll have a bruise but ill live lol. Dr g said to call Friday if I don't hear from them bc normally they not call with bad news. So here's to hoping I have to call them.

Wow! 37 weeks?? I hope she stays in awhile longer, but that's a good call to wait on the shot since your doc thinks it'll do better down the road.

That drink for GD is nasty, but not as horrible as I thought it was gonna be.

    Keep baking baby Em!

So stoked you've made it to 28 1/2 weeks!! Glad she is looking good and lots of vibes for a 30+ weeker!

PS: why make you do the GD test when you are risk at delivering any day? Seems like a waste to me...

37 weeks! WOW! You MUST have a second bag of water or something! LOL. That's crazy.

I had to LOL at what Ashley said. Seems silly to even make you do the GD test...but I guess they don't have much wiggle room around there.

I hope Em stays in longer. 28.5 weeks is way better than 24 but every day is golden!

I was thinking the same thing. But I guess it'd be one more reason to put me in the hospital is my thinking. O and no let up on the contractions gerrr....

I am diabetic and they made me take it! I questioned why and was told to make sure my meds were doing their job

Sounds like a good appointment! I hope the GD test turns out well, so there won't be ANOTHER thing to have to deal with.

    Update.

I called today to check in and get my results. I passed! I was 131 and my hg was good (whatever that is). She wants me to go in if a bath can't help with the pains . I'm back to contractions bleeding and stabbing pain.

On a funny note, I lost my brain yesterday. It is still missing along with a couple other things, tho i did find my remote....in the freezer.
