Ok...anytime baby....

Maternity photos are done...it's June...

ANYTIME!

Anyone else ready? I mean, I'm not super ready for labour but I'm feeling done with pregnancy. I'd like baby to come soon so I can get more camping in this summer. LOL.

DH says anytime after today would be good for him Smile

I am ready and anxious, but at the same time I'd almost rather he just wait til my mom gets here on Saturday. Then we don't have to find another babysitter.

We'll see what tomorrow's appt holds......

So, DH is paying for a maid to come and clean our kitchen and bathroom tomorrow! Yahoo One less thing for me to worry about.

Im right there with you Heather! any day now would be GREAT. report cards are basically done, now its just packing up the classroom... VERY uncomfortable. more so than I ever was with DS. this weekend I havent been AS uncomfortable. So Im wondering if this is the lull before hte storm?? (been having the urge to SERIOUSLY nest as well!) Im hoping baby comes sooner rather than later! (we have a wedding to go to first week in July and I'd like for him to be closer to a month old instead of just a couple weeks before he's around that many ppl)

I have to say I am much more at peace with being overdue this time. Last time I was so anxious I was trying everything under the sun to get baby out. Now that this is the THIRD time I have gone past my dates, I'm just sort of relaxed about it. Last time I was walking, squatting, nipple stimulation, eating pineapple, DTD....tons of stuff. Now I am just sort of waiting, biding my time. Not in the mood to DTD at all.

As we all know.....baby will come when they are ready!

Ya, I'm not to the point of trying anything serious to get baby out...but I'm just telling him/her I'm ready...hoping I don't HAVE to do anything. Blum 3

Yeah, I'm ready! Smile At least I'm still comfortable. In fact, out of all 6 pregnancies this is probably the best I've felt at this point. I'm ready to meet this little one though. I feel sort of "stalled" with the rest of life to some degree right now. The next thing on the "list" to get done is "have baby" lol. Since all my others have arrived in the 38-39 week range I really am expecting to meet this one soon. Watch, this will be the one to make it to my dd. Wink

Usually by about 5 days overdue I start getting antsy, and try to get them out. Pretty sure I'll just be patient this time Smile

LOL! 'Stalled' is a good way to put it! Also, I'd be happy to be finished work now. Blum 3

I'm so ready for baby too although it has nothing to do with being miserable or anything, I actually feel great other than massive and sick of the 2 shirts that fit over my belly Wink I'm just tired of being in limbo waiting and wondering and am ready for baby to be here

I'm so ready to not be pregnant anymore but I am happy to wait until at least Friday because 36 weeks doesn't make me as nervous as 35. I honestly thought he was coming yesterday. I was contracting nonstop in church and when I tried to walk there was so much pressure. I have never been this uncomfortable in pregnancy. Sick and miserable and puking is my normal not this kind of discomfort. It's weird and new to me. And I'm still puking on top of all this so it really sucks!!!

Jon hates his Fridays at work. He usually has to work 4 hours later than any other day and it's awful so I keep saying ill do my best to start up labor on a Thursday night. Wink

I am ready for the baby but ideally she can wait until after the dentist tomorrow. Have the birthing class this Saturday, then my baby shower on Sunday and I would be glad to have her there for that.

I'm ready but trying not to get too anxious until next week. I mean I am only 37 weeks so it can be seen as a little ridiculous to be feeling done but I've been spoiled with early babies...I've never been 37 weeks pregnant before! Wink

I'm a strong believer of babies picking their time to come. I didn't have that option with DD unfortunately because she was breech. I really hope this baby is given the choice as to when he/she is ready...but I really only have 3 weeks 1 day until I'm forced into a c-section. Sad

Try not to stress, Heather! It must suck to feel 'on the clock' with a VBAC! Will you have a check done at your next appt?

I think I'll have a check on Thursday. Maybe do the sweep. They have a couple possible induction techniques they can try before a c-section...but for the balloon one I think I already have to be partially dilated or ripe or something. I don't know. I'm hopeful baby will come but sometimes my confidence wanes. Blum 3

I wanted to make it to 37 weeks which I am today so I am ready for this baby to come. I cleaned my floors today and dtd last night with dh in hopes to make something happen. I was only 1cm dialated and "very soft" two weeks ago, so I am hoping to be further along when I go in on thursday for my appt!

I'm pretty upset about how my induction plan is going...I'm already past due and they think that 41 w 4 days is the latest you should go, so on DS1's b-day in I go for an induction Sad

I am only 1 cm still and his head is low but not causing pressure on my cervix so nothing is happening. I am nervous about the induction b/c in my mind it will lead to other interventions.

I'm glad everyone else still has time Smile

I agree with you 100% percent.

Are you a vbac too or did you have a vaginal birth with the other two?

Around here they 'recommend' induction at 41w3d but you can say no and delay it to 42 weeks. Can you do that there? The midwife told me that at 42 weeks with a normal (non-vbac birth) they will push induction HARD...but with me they will push repeat c-section. Sad

I brought it up and they weren't game...basically saying when I chose their practice I agreed to their dates, which I get...I think I am most frustrated that it is ending up on DS1's b-day.

I had natural vaginal births with the other two. They were "helped" along by membrane sweeps but I was actually dilated, which I am not right now.

Have you had sweeps this time? Have you thought about any other 'home' induction methods like Evening Primrose, s-e-x, or even cod liver oil?

I feel for you...I would be upset too if I were in your shoes.

This is pretty much how I feel too!

Me too... but I don't mind "helping them along" with a sweep, or dtd, or hiking... they have to be ready for any of those things to work anyway. At most it might get them here just a couple days earlier than "doing nothing." Smile

*hugs* Heather. I really hope your little one decides to come on his/her own! FWIW, I've done EPO with this baby and DS1 without much luck as far as it helping ripen my cervix or anything...BUT I do think it helped me from tearing internally with DS1 because he basically flew out once he got dislodged from my hip w/the vacuum (he was majorly stuck). I tore a bit on the outside but it was more upwards and nothing where my episiotomy scar was from DD (woohoo!) which I guess is pretty common to happen. So hoping it at least helps with that again.

Lissy: lots of labor vibes for you!! I hope you are able to get the birth you want!!

Laurie: ITA - those things can work wonders IF your body is on the brink. Otherwise, they just make you grumpy and tired Wink (as is always the case for me like doing yardwork for 7 hours this weekend!)
