I made myself a Mobi type wrap, because he wouldn't let me buy the real one, he said it looked unsafe and would not spend the money on it. So I bought a decent fabric and made it. Mostly used it when DH wasn't around (and not even until DS was like 1.5.) I told him people had been babywearing since the beginning of time. He was ok with the uncomfortable one we bought from target.

Ahhh, ok. Makes more sense!
Have you seen this post? I love all the different baby wearing styles:
Hybrid Rasta Mama: Babywearing Around The World
I would jaut get the single stroller and then wear your next baby. I only have a single stroller and thought about a double briefly since DD will only be 18 months when this next one comes along. but I wear DD more than use the stroller already anyway. (I prefer woven wraps and ring slings but I also have a Beco Butterfly II, like the Ergo but I find it way better - the Ergo is not my favourite carrier by far!)
When they are so little, wearing is nicer anyway![]()
I showed him that! He is just weird. Thinks that I would allow the baby to fall or something.

My DH was always afraid that the baby would fall out of a sling too! So far I haven't dropped one out of a sling yet! I had a snugli, which works good for certain stages. And I made a sling ring type, I used it some but it was a little confusing to put on. I also had a Hot Slings, I really enjoyed using it. It had several positions that you can use it in, and even works well for toddlers.
okay - my three cents!
1. I love to babywear. I want a ring sling for this new baby! I suggest you get a ring sling for infant stage and either become a wrapper, or get a SSC (like the Ergo) for older baby/toddler stage.
2. I have a Phil & Ted's double stroller. DS and DD are not quite 18 months apart. I found it essential when DD was an infant and I was going a place I didn't want to babywear. I still use it for places like the zoo, aquarium etc. I find it EASILY movable because of the compact size. I wouldn't choose any other double EVER! I also love that it's not a side by side because they each have their own space. I bought the car seat attachment as well which was nice if baby fell asleep in the car seat and we wanted to go on a walk right after we got home.
3. I LOVE having all the flexibility of a single P&T stroller, a double P&T stroller and baby wearing. I choose whichever fits for the place we are going and my mood for the day. There are some days you just don't want to babywear because it's too hot IYKWIM!
mostly I'd consider how close in age you are planning on having the next child. If you are having them 2 1/2 years apart or more, then the P&T might be an unnecessary expense. If you are having them 2 years or less apart then I do suggest a double stroller and I do recommend the P&T!

DH would like to start trying the first cycle back after LO is born. This is the only reason I am considering buying a double stroller at this point. I am thinking it would be easier if I were just pregnant with twins this time (don't think I am though) then maybe I could get a longer break.
I think DH is feeling old. Not that he is that old but he is 7 years older than me, and this is what is causing him to want babies and want them all now.
(did anyone watch The Practice last week "When I said I didn't want any babies, I meant I WANT ALL THE BABIES" best quote ever.)
I went up to baby depot and checked out the Graco Ready2Grow and I like it, still torn as to if I want the P&T cause I like the way it looks.
also, I think I will have to stay away from thrift stores for a good long while otherwise our storage area is going to get full. I bought Bright Starts Bouncey thing because it was only $3.99. I am a sucker for things at a good price, even if realistically I know I won't use it for quite a while. It is really clean and doesn't show any wear. (see I am just as crazy as DH)
