Thread: OT: What are you watching/reading?

So, the Big Brother thread got me wondering who is watching and reading what I am and I figured a central place to chat about OT entertainment stuff to pass the time.

What tv shows or series do you watch?

Are you reading anything right now?




Right now I'm completely obsessed with the Game of Thrones series and I watch that and am reading the books as well.

Also, just read 50 Shades of Grey due to popularity, and I thought it was overrated. It reminded me of an old fling and made me realize how not healthy a controlling relationship can be, but often in books and movies they try to make it seem endearing (Twilight was sort of like that, too.)

My biggest guilty pleasure is probably the Real Housewives series! I am also a huge old movie fan (30s-50s) and I like Mad Men.

I watch Big brother, Grey's Anatomy, private practice and Mike and Molly. Currently I am reading Good to a fault and just finished Slightly wicked and just took out the last child. I am in the book club as well doing the community reading contest. Next week I am borrowing Fifty shades of grey. I heard that book is good.

I love reality tv! Finished 50 shades of grey a while back, was reading the shettles method book while ttc this month.

My favorite new fall show is The New Normal, about a surrogate and a gay couple fantastically funny and cliche. Also I have been keeping up with The Parenthood. Can't wait for Greys Anatomy and Pretty Little Liars.

I am reading too many books right now, Artemis Fowl, the second book in the Giver series (the Giver had been my favorite book since 6th grade and I have been putting off reading the rest of the series as I feel like you can't beat the best), I have another series I am itching to start called Delirium, I am in the middle of reading the second book in the Vampire Queen/ Infinite Days series though I am probably just going to drop it (took waaaay too long after the first book came out and I have lost interest). And am reading several fanfics, on top of all that I am trying to patiently wait for the next books in several series that I am reading, a bunch of indie books, but that I am enjoying.

I don't have much must watch Tv but am watching Puberty Blues right now, which I am pretty sure I will be the only one who knows what that is. I read the book years ago as well

Reading wise I am having another period where I ma struggling to get into anything, I have been reading the no cry sleep solution for toddlers and preschoolers in my lunch break

There's a Giver series? I totally just Googled it. I LOVED the Giver when I was younger and I *still* have the book and reread it occasionally. WOOT!

YES THERE IS A SERIES!!! and the last one comes out next month, which actually sounds a lot better than the middle two books, its about one of the Birth mothers.

I meant to watch The New Normal... I'm gonna see if it's on Primetime Demand. I watched that Ben & Kate show, it was pretty cute. I'm not a huge sitcom person but there are a few funny ones

The New Normal is on Hulu, if it isnt on demand.

crap I didn't know there was a giver series either. I will have to check that out. Love The Giver.

I am watching Project Runway, Top Chef, Breaking Amish, Real Housewives of NJ a bunch of other trashy crap...

I am reading a John Irving book right now but it is kind of boring so I need to get something new. Unfortunately I also succumbed to the 50 shades of grey thing and I think it is awful on so many levels.
