Had to take DS to the dr today bc this morning out of nowhere his foot swells up. (at first glance I would have sworn it was broken it was so swollen and funky looking...except that he was running around on it) When I was able to get him to let me look at it, I noticed a spot that looked like a bug bite. SO we are guessing spider maybe? so I call the dr at 10am. appt scheduled for 2:15. arrive at 2:00 back in the room shortly after....and no dr until 3:30. conclusion. some kind of allergic reaction to a bug bite. no clue what type. Dr's orders? elevate even or above chest level, ice and benedryl every 6 hours for the weekend..... seriously?? Elevate the foot and ice it for a 3 yr old???? :ROTFL: yeah. no chance of that. so I did manage to get benedryl in him and am icing it now that he's passed out
LOL, well I guess you can only do so much. Will he lay still if you put a movie on? I'm sure the doctor didn't mean he needed ice on it the WHOLE weekend.
I'd be so choked if I sat in a room for 1.5 hours waiting. Ok, so he was nice and fit you in...but seriously!
i've tried to and we even have aThomas train pillow like ice pack. he just in general doesnt like anything on him. (I can't even get hydrocortisone cream on half the time without an argument) (he's been like this since his first birthday...wouldnt let us put anything on his busted lip) silly boy
