Yay! Way to go! We potty trained DD last August. I wasn't without struggles but she's awesome now, even at night! She turned 2 last January.

Jealous! We moved so often, just when DS would get interested again it would seem like we were moving house and that set us back every time.

Hope she keeps up the good work!

That is great! DD pretty much trained herself right when she turned 2. I have trained 3 boys and 1 girl, and the girl was so much easier than the boys!

:woohoo: that's great! None of mine have ever regressed after a baby. It's still awhile until baby gets here anyway, so the new "big girl" lifestyle should be well established.

Thank you for saying that. I'm hoping for no regression here too...but it will be 10 months from potty training until newborn, so we should be good.

For my daughter we did an intense 3 day potty training thing which started out with BIG GIRL DAY. She was so excited. We had cake and balloons and everything. She was SO excited. The 3 days weren't without struggles but 1/2 way through day 3 it clicked! It took a couple more weeks to get the poop thing. The key for that (for us) was to give her privacy in the bathroom. She didn't want to poop in front of her.

The funniest thing is I cloth diaper and I was very sad to potty train. Good thing we were ttc #2 already. LOL. Silly me.

I wouldn't worry about regression. It's a huge gap and she's more than old enough. Just don't consider an accident here or there "regression" since there are times they might just not want to tell you. I trained DD at 15.5 mo, and definitely had some regressions in her telling me. She started telling me as she was peeing. Unfortunately she still does this sometimes. But for the most part she's great, and always getting better. I probably would have waited until she was a bit older, since it has been a bit tough, but she was already pooping on the toilet since 12 mo, so she seemed ready. I do have to say though, if your kids are getting on 3+ I've heard that it can be a real pain since they are so set against it.

I've also heard that once they are three they can become VERY stubborn and set in their ways. The 3 day potty training thing we did said 22 months was the ideal time I think.

He's been stubborn since he was born. INCREDIBLY stubborn..... I dont know that the 3 day would work with him.. he can do it and knows how and does when he wants. its not a matter of it clicking.... He jsut won't. and he's done it 3 days in a row... but then goes backwards when he gets in a mood.. or doesnt get something he wants. I think Im doomed!
