Sandra, I have heard the logic behind have a large food supply, BUT I always figure if things get THAT bad, then people will be shooting each other for food and such... if I had the food, someone would just take it from me anyway! We have guns (oh please let this not turn into a gun discussion), but I'm not going to stand guard and shoot people down to prevent them from taking my food!

I always think its so if u loose your income u have a few months worth to make it till u find a new source of income and also for disasters

Nope, you never know when something may happen so it's a good time to start thinking about that. But I don't have much storage either.
