I'm in the holiday mood...what's your favorite sweet treat that's around at the holidays?
Typically, rum cake! But since I literally make the frosting from powdered sugar and rum, none for me this year.
Second runner up is cookies. Hard to pick a specific one.
My mom makes this brownie thing, it has this maraschino cherry gelatin stuff on top, and it is the bees knees. Also my grandmothers recipe for this frozen cranberry thing, way better than cranberry sauce when it melts on the turkey or ham or anything else.
ladyfinger cheese cake that I make sooo yummy
I love gingerbread and sugar cookies And (surprisingly) Candy Cane Hershey's Kisses, even though I hate mint and candy canes. I think it's the combo with the white chocolate. Mmmm......
Oooh, and Nuts and Bolts! I gotta make some in the next couple weeks.
Mine is peanut butter star cookies. I also like these pretzel raindeer my mom and I make. they have a big pretzel with almond bark melted in the middle of all the holes then red m&m for the nose and green ones for the eyes and half a pretzel stick for each antler. they r awesome.
I guess sweets would be peppermint bark or peanut brittle.
Peppermint bark! Yum!
