What baby items do you still HAVE to get before your LO arrives?

I'm pretty much set even though it doesn't feel like I should be since I've barely done anything. I just got my order of NB diapers a few weeks ago. Probably should run to Costco and get a box of wipes just so I have more on stockpile since we go through them like crazy even w/o baby here yet. I should also probably order size 1 diapers to have on hand.

Maybe one of you will mention something I need to get that I'm not thinking of.

I need to assess what I have, but I don't think I HAVE to get anything.

What I do need to do though is wash what I do have. Bottles, DS's old onesies and pjs that I pulled out, etc and ORGANIZE everything.

There is one thing that I need, I have to order new lines for my pump. I'll pump while I breastfeed to keep my supply large and start storing in the freezer. SInce I will be pumping so much at work, I like to get a head start on a back supply.

There are a number of things I WANT to get but I don't HAVE to get them. Technically I could bring a baby home tomorrow and we'd all survive. Blum 3

The only things I "need" are diapers, soothers, breast pads, pads....I think that's about it. I will get all this stuff in May. I still have to go through the clothes in the garage and find all the NB and 0-3 month stuff and stock the drawers. May will be my crazy-getting-ready month.

A friend of mine who was due the day before me had her water break last Friday. They managed to hold her off until yesterday, and her little man was born nearly 6 weeks early, but is strong and breathing well. Scares me that things are coming up so fast!

I was 5 weeks early last time and that's why I feel like I need to wrap everything up in the next few weeks, just in case.

I've never made it to my due date, either so I am forcing myself to be completely ready by 36 weeks just in case.

I still need a place for baby to sleep (if you are on FB you probably saw my long post about that decision!). I really WANT that fisher price rocker thing we were all talking about. I don't have any bottles. Not that I plan to use them right away but I do plan to introduce a bottle once a day around six weeks or so. I have a ton of diapers, people kept giving me diapers. NB and size 1. But I NEED wipes, we have none. And I need a baby carrier or wrap that is more suitable for summer. I'm pretty sure I'm going with the k'tan. It looks perfect.

I now have everything! Ahhhhh, may need one more mattress but can just transfer one for now. I do want another summer appropriate k'tan type wrap as my moby is black. I only have one pack of premie diapers but always bring some NB home from the hospital anyway so figure that's good for now. I can go anytime now and be fine Smile

I got my new wrap in the mail yesterday Smile :) Smile :)

It is so soft and gorgeous. I am super thrilled about it. It will be so lovely for summer!

If baby was born and came home tomorrow, we would survive on what we have, there are a few things I would like to get (swing, rock-n-play, wrap carrier). My dad and step mom are buying the car seat/stroller (we have a convertible in our storage area if they don't though). Need more diapers, but again we could survive on what we have, I am not big on stocking up on them unless I am sure she won't have a reaction.

I have everything I NEED except for wipes! There is not a single baby wipe in my house! I am having my baby shower Saturday, so after then I should be all set on stuff. Now my house is a different story, it could use a major cleaning!

I don't have a single nb or size 1 diaper. So I need a package of those. And a carseat - although if my homebirth goes smoothly, I suppose I don't NEED that right away - especially since we can turn ours around for infant, and I guess always steal one from my mom's car for DD.

And then I need the things (plastic sheets and pads etc) for the homebirth. Otherwise we haven't gotten anything new yet, but we could make do.

I almost bought some nb diapers today, but last time the hospital gave us some when we left, so I'll use those and then have hubby run out to the store. Especially if I am closer to term I don't know what size she will be.
