Pretty sure I was originally going to be called Jane. Or Jill. Or something like that.
When I was born I had red, sandy coloured hair. (Strawberry blonde as a kid, more of an auburn as an adult) So they named me "Sandra" to match my sandy hair.
I've never particularly liked my name, it seems most people named Sandra are my mother's age! In my high school of 1500 kids, there was only 1 other Sandra. While I'm glad I don't have a common name, I always felt like most people who were named Sandra were in their 40's-50's.
No idea. I do know my name was supposed to be Kelsey but then Cheers was getting popular and people were seeing it as a boy name thanks to Kelsey Grammer. So then I was going to be named after my moms baby sister and her best friend--Hiedi Jeanne. But then I was born and mom said I didn't look like Hiedi Jeanne.
I hate my name. People think I'm Rachel. Or they spell it Rochelle. It's so annoying.
I was originally set to be Jennifer but some family friends had a baby while my mom was pg with me and used that name. I'm glad, because it is SO popular!
Because my mom had chosen my older brother's first name, my dad chose mine. I'm not sure where Heather came from exactly but it was my dad's pick. They didn't have a boy name because the were SURE I was a girl. (They didn't REALLY know)
I am Noelle Christina and born in April. Everyone usually assumes I'm a christmas baby because of the name.
I'm not 100% on Christina (think my mom just liked it), but Noelle is from Sidney Sheldon's "Other Side of Midnight". My mom read it while she was pregnant and loved the name I like it alot too
Never understood why, but so many people called me Nicole growing up. Noelle isn't that strange
