How well I am sleeping still! With my other two, pretty much my whole third tri was miserable sleep because I couldn't get comfortable. This time my belly seems to be shaped just right so I can sleep without much complaint (although I'm really looking forward to stomach lying again!).
How well Jon has handled how sick I am. With the first two... I was left feeling guilty about being sick. He seemed mad all the time at the extra work he had to do, etc. he would snap and me and act like I was driving him crazy. It's been so different this time. Granted the kids are almost 6 and 8 and we were pretty young when we had them, so I guess we've probably grown up a lot since then. But he has been super patient, has to complained once and has even told me I'm doing too much and need to let him do more for me. It's been pretty awesome.
To thank him, when the baby is born he's getting a pretty good surprise. That's when I'm telling him that his best friend (who happens to be my uncle. Kinda funny, they just really get along and have become very good friends over the years) is coming out to visit him in August. He has no idea! I'm so excited for him to get some time for himself to do things HE wants to do for once.
I guess the biggest surprise for me is how good I'm still feeling here at the end! Usually I struggle a little bit with mild headaches and as the baby gets bigger it's harder to move around and I get a little bit of back pain. This time, not much at all in the way of headaches (maybe due to some pretty major dietary changes in the past couple months???) and not much in the way of back pain or difficulty moving around (perhaps a smaller baby???). Probably the best "end of pregnancy" of all 6!!
Hard to say. You guys all sound like you are pleasantly surprised! I am NOT feeling better than I usually do. With my SPD starting up at 27 weeks this time it has been rough, but some days are better than others. I have to say I am surprised that I could fit in my regular jeans so long this time though! Each time I have worn maternity clothes earlier, but this time I wore my regular jeans to about 16 weeks (as opposed to 8 weeks with #3. But that's just because I started off this pregnancy almost 10 lbs lighter than usual.
The fact that it has been so different! Not much was the same. Might be because I started with MS (didn't have with DS) and then the SCH at 8 weeks has made me really sensitive to everything. She's low, he was high. honestly, almost everything is different.
Oh, and the lovely suprise is that the severe constipation only lasted through the 2nd trimester. Very grateful for that.
I'm not still puking!!! I've also been pleasantly surprised this pregnancy. Although I was quite sick at the beginning, and I still get very tired and demand a lot from DH, I have SO much more energy than last time, and I stopped being super sick at around 16 weeks, whereas last time I puked until the day she came.
Mine has been different in little ways. I don't have heartburn yet, which is nice! I have indigestion every few days, but that's a bit less painful. Also, I haven't had the breathing issues I had with DD. I think this baby is more out front so my lungs have more room. I've also had more sex drive this time but also had depression issues (that I didn't have last time). Some of these little things make me think boy...like the hormonal stuff (sex drive and depression). That said, I know many of you with multiple kids of different sexes don't think that stuff matters. I guess we'll see!
