A little of both. I definitely cannot sleep in late (past like 8 in the morning, and usually I'm up by about 7 and that feels comfortable), but I have been known to stay up late reading e-mails, or working on a project (sometimes midnight or 1). My "usual" schedule is to fall asleep sometime around 10:30 and wake up around 7 though. I don't feel like either of those times is particularly late or early.
I need so much sleep (especially now) that I can't be either. I've been going to bed at 9:30-10 with Matan the past few nights, but he's been waking up at 5:30 and I'm a zombie still at that time. If I could sleep a bit better during the night, I can happily wake up at 6:30 - but I haven't done that since becoming pregnant with M.
I'm more of a night person typically but I'm trying to adjust that. I'd love to be a morning person...I think it's much more productive and a better fit for life with kids. I can easily sleep until 9 or 10 on a Saturday when I'm working during the week but I hate to b/c it feels like the day is over before you get started.
Right now just trying to be out of bed by 8:30 or 9. DH works early so I'm here with all 3 by myself until around lunchtime. The last few days have been the boys going down around 10:30 or 11. I can't seem to get to sleep before 12 or 1 by the time I get myself ready for bed and nurse a baby a couple of times. It seems she likes to eat again by the time I get the boys in bed and sometimes again after I get myself ready and in bed.
