How is your weight loss going?
No idea! I don't have a scale. I do have my 6 week pp check-up in 2 weeks though, so I will be sure to weigh myself then. At 2 weeks pp I still had 25 pounds to go. That was actually doing slightly "better" then I though I would be at that point. I tend to hang onto the weight a little bit for the first month, and THEN I start losing about 2 lbs a week. Not sure why, but that's just what happens.
I'm down about 14 of 32 lbs so I have 18 to lose still. I've never held onto weight postpartum like this. I came home from the hospital only down 5 pounds...?? I got a ton of fluids while I was being induced so I blame that. Then I stayed at that weight for a week, then lost 9 pounds, then haven't lost a thing in a week and a half! So annoying. I should just stop weighing myself until my 6 week appt.
I'm down 40 from pre pregnancy! Crazy but I think it's cutting out dairy and going insane lol.
I'm pretty much within a couple of pounds. Though the stomach is making my short not fit so well.
Ashley, I wouldn't worry about it. I weighed myself when Maddie was 3 days old and had only lost 6 pounds. A week and a half later I was down 10 pounds from that though (I also had some water weight to lose - had some swelling). Now, I've probably plateaued again (like you are). Honestly, I think it has a lot to do with establishing a good milk supply. If you lose weight drastically in the beginning your milk supply can suffer. Anyway, I can't say the same will happen for you, but I do know that other than my first dd (the weight fell off after her) I have always had good loss the first two weeks followed by almost nothing for the next 3-4 weeks. After that point I drop at a nice steady pace though. So yeah, quit weighing yourself!!
so funny you mentioned this, I started yesterday tracking again.
I was down 10lbs 2 days after and down 20lbs at my 2 week checkup (I was retaining a lot of fluid after the c/s). I think I gained around 26-28 so I'm almost back to pre-pregnancy
I'm keeping the calories the same as pregnancy because of the breastfeeding, but hoping to be down another 10 before going back to work.
I am allowed to walk, but I'm excited to be cleared to use the gym again. They have a nursery and playroom, plus it gets us out of the house.
I had to cut out dairy with my oldest, and I lost a ton of weight fast. (And I didn't have much extra to lose.) People thought that I was deathly ill, I lost it so fast and so much.
I gained 28 pounds during pregnancy. I need to lose 6 pounds to be back to pre-pregnancy weight. I would love to lose a total of 10 pounds more though. I go back for my pre Mirena visit tomorrow, so it will be interesting to see what the Dr. scales say. I can't wait to work out my abs again, there is nothing there but loose skin!
I am down 23 lbs. And am starting to walk this week so we will see how fast the weight comes off, it took a couple years after DS to get back to normal weight but I wasn't trying anything at all and eating like crap.
I am down 20 lbs right now. I still have about 12 to get to prepregnancy weight and want to loose another 15 beyond that. Right now I'm not doing anything about it though. I don't have the huge appetite I did when post partum with the boys. So maybe that will help
I think I ended up gaining 18 pounds. Most of it at the end when we finally combined Zofran with Prilosec and I could eat!!! I know I've lost at least 8 of it! I will weigh myself tomorrow morning at home.
I had my PP today, and I am clear to exercise! I have never been so glad to be able to exercise!
