How are you feeling about your 4+ month post partum body? Weight loss goals?
My stomach looks worse than ever! I have a significant pooch and am also still just over 150 lbs where I usually have dropped to low 140's within the first 6 weeks post partum. I have not been doing any exercise or diet control though. I haven't this quickly after baby before either. And now the holidays are swiftly approaching...that time of year to traditionally gain. My goal is to get to mid 120's as a maintenance weight but I've got to do *something* or *anything* in order to start working toward that.
I didn't have the best pre-body, but I definitely didn't have this flap thing that comes over my csection incision before!
I was losing steadily the first few months and got down to -10lbs pre weight. Now I'm up 7 from there and I'm just jelly like.
Trying to watch what I eat, but excercising is not in the schedule right now. Hoping to start working out a bit more soon.
Getting better, but not great - and certainly not where I thought I'd be. My stomach just has so much skin still it sticks out. Definite pooch. But my butt and legs are looking ok (my back was hurting so I've been doing lots of squats only). And my arms could use some work, but that comes with my back so I'm just starting into it again.
Probably 10 lbs and I'll feel good. Then another 5 to get me where I was at before pregnancy with M - but that's going to take my breasts getting smaller to hit!
I hate my body. I'm still at 187 lbs and have been there for months. I was at like 155 lbs before I got pregnant. I have a very large tummy and worry when I'm out alone that people might think I'm pregnant.
That said, I haven't hated it enough to stop eating like a pig...sooooo.... LOL
I am still hovering at 20 lbs below the last pregnancy weight, and 15 lbs above PP. It would probably helped if I could find the energy to work out, but I can barely muster the energy to get out of bed most days, thinking it's my thyroid which came back as subclinical hypothyroidism a couple weeks ago, taking all my vitamins like I am supposed to so hopefully it will level out soon.
I am 6 lbs above my last pre-preg weight. I would still love to lose 10 pounds though. I really want to make the time to workout, but I just haven't done it yet! I love to eat too much also!
I am not thrilled with the body, but not doing much about it either. I am at 135 lbs, which is my pre-preg weight. So I'm fine with the weight part. My old jeans fit, and I even bought some new skinny jeans in a size 6. The problem is what the belly jelly looks like with a tight shirt or naked. SOOOO gross. After 4 kids, I guess this will take some work.
I have had no time to exercise yet either. I probably won't until the new year. I'd just like to get in shape, I don't care if I lose any weight.
LOL Heather! I hear ya and sounds like there are quite a few of us in the "not happy but not motivated to do anything about it" camp. I'm sure as these little ones get a bit older and at least a little less high maintenance it'll get easier to focus on that stuff more.
I'm the same as Sandra too...not really worried about a specific number although I have some ideas of target weight that I have a good idea will be the number once the body looks more like I'm happy with.
I did sign up on my fitness pal yesterday, and while there are no serious plans to start exercising or majorly controlling diet, I figure I can at least track my food intake. If I'm entering everything I eat into a diary I figure it's bound to affect my choices in a positive way.
I like my fitness pal and it does work for me when I am consistent about tracking.
I'm still wearing maternity pants and I look PG.
shhh! me too
I'm still 10 lbs from pre pregnant weight but I was in the best shape I've ever been in when I got pregnant this time so it'll take some work to get back there. Plus I hold extra weight as long as I'm BFing. That aside, I fit in my "bigger normal" pants, not most of my shirts because of my boons though ;). I feel okay about it, I'm making slow progress. I definitely have some work to do to tighten my lower stomach though! But it's looking like less like a deflated balloon by the day.
