Rock N Play Sleeper

I stumbled across this product today and now I really want one. It looks so comfy and easily portable. I could see me using this day and night and carrying all around the house. Anyone else used one of these or heard anything about them? Heather, is this the item you were talking about purchasing recently?

The reviews are mostly all very positive. It was recalled due to mold...apparently b/c of the support material behind the softer bedding it can get moldy but I just don't see this as a big deal. I'm sure I'll wash it often and especially knowing of this as a concern can keep a watch out.

I am thinking we are going to get one, probably used, but since DH will be asleep in our room during the day this seems like the perfect solution.

Reminds me of the cradel n swing which I have.. so I will probably not get one. I know a friend that has one, just different brand and she likes it.

YES! That's what I bought. I haven't put it together yet because it takes up less room in the box. LOL. Vicki (tori729) from the April board posted a pic of her LO in hers yesterday and was saying it is the only thing that got him to sleep 4 hours at a time. LOL. I'm hoping it's as useful for us. I know I didn't NEED it but it's easy to transport all around our house (which is big) and to take to grandparents houses and camping/to hotels.

I saw the recall before I decided to buy one and thought it was ridiculous. Who doesn't dry a cover before putting it back on the device and storing it?

That looks handy! I think DH would kill me if I tried to buy another baby item for our last child. LOL.

We'll make do with the swing, and our living space is small, so baby will probably be sleeping in the playpen/bassinet in our room all the time. Otherwise my kids would trample all over him. LOL.

Yep, I bought one on CL for $25 last week and it's AWESOME. I did have a cosleeper set up but he hated it - every time I laid him in it he would wake up and cry so I would have to put him next to me which I'm not big on. So I bought this, set it up and he slept four hour stretches in it the first night! I totally recommend it. Since it doesn't have any extra bells and whistles, it's very affordable. I think he likes it because it cradles him and I can easily rock him in it without getting up. And yes, it folds up flat and I bring it out to the living room for his naps during the day. He's sleeping peacefully in it right now!

So cute and comfy looking! I bought a new bouncer chair for this baby since I burned out the motor on my other one with my other kids so I think I'll have to resist. Not to mention, I'm pretty sure my DS would plow that over with baby in it. The bouncy chair I can put up on the counter initially out of his reach and our swing in a tank so baby will be safe there.

**lurker** Best investment EVER!!! Mold recall most likely due to people NOT washing it or having it damp and not drying it all the way thus causing the mold. I got mine second hand and it was a life saver for DD!! She slept in it next to my bed from like 3months til 8months or so... she didn't like it rocking, so i had to sit on the floor and drag it back and forth for her to fall asleep in it..... we carried it up and down the stairs all the time to the different levels..... best thing ever!!! She loved her vibrating bouncer too, but grew out of that quickly...

Thanks for sharing your experience Vicki and Jules (my gal pals). I can't wait to try mine. I keep looking at it and thinking of assembling it....

I've heard it's a miracle worker. I'm 100% planning to buy one. My babies never sleep and people swear that even those babies sleep in this thing. To me it's worth $75 if there's even a chance of getting a few hours of sleep.

That's how I saw it too! Plus they aren't available in Canada so I know I'll have no problem selling it when I'm done.

My daughter had really bad acid reflux and I SURE hope this baby doesn't have it too...but if he/she does, I hear these are great for that too. Smile

YES! I've been stalking craigslist, and want to get one. We have a pack and play, but it's too big to haul up and downstairs.
