Have fun at your ultrasound tomorrow! I can't wait to hear how big your little man is already!
YAY for ultrasounds! Can't wait for pics.
I forgot how big they are at this point! It's hard to fit much of anything in one frame!
Anyways, baby is fine. He is NOT measuring big, he is measuring even a bit small. He is only measuring around 34 weeks 1 day, rather than over 35 weeks. Considering my EDD is solely based on an U/S I had at 12 weeks, it's hard to say which dating is more accurate, because I have no LMP.
Anyways, baby is still a boy, very active, and started out head down but moved to transverse mid-U/S. Darn He is still flipping all over the place. Hopefully he settles back to head down in the next few weeks,
So maybe u will have a smaller baby this time? Im glad he looks good And darn for no pics :(.
Glad he looked great! I know what you're saying about how big they are! I had an u/s with DD around 34 weeks and her face was almost the whole picture. LOL. Remember when their bodies were a tiny jelly bean? This is DD...she looked so chubby but wasn't so much when she came out.
Sandra's belly is so cute in person. Emerson is a sweetie, even if he was a bit upset to wake up to no mommy.
Sandra, it sounds like baby boy is doing very well in there. They probably did get your dating off a bit - maybe by as much as a week or two. I know I've had ultrasounds in the first tri in the past where I KNOW with absolute certainty when I ovulated, and they have dated me like 10 days ahead at 9 weeks along (and I have average sized babies!). Anyway, I would just definitely try to let them let you go past your dd as much as possible if labor is not starting on its own. At 42 weeks if they induce you, your baby will definitely be healthy, but if your body is not ready for labor (because you're more like 40 weeks instead) then labor could progress more slowly and lead to difficulties there. Just something to keep in mind and discuss with your doctor/midwife.
That's what I've been pondering. We've been saying my EDD is June 1st, and I usually go to at least 10 days overdue with my boys. So I've been anticipating having him arrive around June 10th - either on his own, or induced, since that it how far the OB will let me go. Now that I'm thinking he may not even be "due" until around June 8th, inducing on June 10th would only be 2 days post dates. While I am already extremely uncomfortable, I don't want to kick him out too far before he's "ready". But also, I don't want to wait much longer, because my mom will be in town only from June 8th-June 12. Not that my mom visiting should take precedence, but we have no family in town and are sort of relying on her to be with my kids while I am in the hospital. While I'm sure we could make do if my mom were NOT here, it would sort of throw a wrench in my plans. Anyways, something to discuss at my next appt, that's for sure.
