So worried! She was in her sleep nest and then I found her face down on the carpet. She seems fine, but I'm a wreck.
I hope she is okay. That had to be scarey.
I called the pediatrician just in case but she does seem fine. She's sleeping right now
Glad to hear! That's what i would have done also.
Lucas did that. Scared the crap out of me. That's when I discovered he could roll over at around a month old. Some babies think it's hilarious to be ahead of the curve like that. I don't find it amusing! I am so glad she seems ok.
Oh no! I'm glad she seems to be okay at least. *hugs*
I has to LOL at your statement. Isn't that the truth. You often don't know they can do something until they do it in a somewhat tragic way
Noelle - I'm so sorry to hear she fell. I would have been beside myself. I still remember the first time DD rolled off the bed. She was 8 months old and much more sturdy, but I still felt terrible. I'm glad your little sweetie seems fine.
What is a sleep nest?
Yeah... was she crying when you found her, and did she calm down quickly? That's how I gage an "injury" around here. If they calm down pretty much instantly then they really are just fine! I think all of my babies have had at least one "incident" similar to that at some point. Poor Aidan actually rolled out of the bed and hit the wall first before sliding down to the ground once... but he calmed down instantly when I picked him up - he was completely fine. These little babies, while still fragile, really are quite hardy too.
Heather - this is what she was in The First Years Close and Secure Sleeper:Amazon:Baby
That's the one I imagined in my mind. Wow. Scary!
:bighug: That's always scary! Like Laurie said, they usually are just fine. Doesn't mean us momma's aren't going to feel awful when it happens. I know I've BTDT
Glad to hear that she is ok!
I know how you feel! DH dropped my oldest out of the car seat when he was about a month old. He didn't buckle him because he was just moving the seat from the floor to the couch. He fell a couple of feet and landed face first on the carpet. It scared us and DH has never put a baby in a seat without buckling them up first since!
