    Default Sibling Classes?

Mary's thread made me think about this.

Has anyone ever sent or considering sending your LO(s) to a sibling class?
Our hospital offers them and I was curious about what it actually is.

When I had Lucas, Tori wasn't old enough to register. Now I think she's too old but I might sign Lucas up. I'm pretty sure it's free so why not?

Ours aren't free, but not too bad at $20. I think it is work it.

The one offered by our hospital is for kids 3 - 8, but I'm sure there are other out there.

Tori was 28 months with Lucas and she was too young but every hospital is different.

DS LOVED the sibling class at the hospital, and if the sibling class at the birth center weren't at an inconvenient time he would be going to that as well.
At the hospital they took them on a tour of the ward, showed them all the different parts of the room. Then took them down to the education center to watch a sibling video, that talked about hand washing and how to act around the new baby and things to do with the baby. They practiced holding a stuffed animal like a baby. Then she took them to wash their hands, they painted a onesie. He had a blast. Totally worth the money of taking them, though that class was free, it is like 15-20 at the birthing center.

My hospital doesn't offer a sibling class. If they had one like Mary described, my DD would've loved that. She's obsessed with babies.

You could check the other hospitals in the area maybe? They didn't seem to mind that I wasn't giving birth there.
