    Default Sleep Schedules

First of all, sorry I haven't been around much. Life is crazy busy (in a good way) but I think things will slow down a bit now that it's getting colder. Anyway...

How many of you have established schedules for your LO's? With my older two having stuff going on, H kind of sleeps on the fly in his car seat a lot but I'd like to try to start some sort of routine because he naps like 20 minutes tops as a result. Wondering how many naps a day is good at this age...three? You'd think this was my first baby sometimes lol!

I wouldn't say we have a schedule, but more of a routine. Since she is home with my dad most of the day it makes it much easier. She takes 2 -3 naps a day.

Now on the weekends, totally another story. Lol! I try to nap her at least once in the day, mostly so I can lay down too

Etham is still taking like, 6 naps a day. I think by 6 months I usually get them down to 2-3 naps a day. I am so busy and on the fly too that it is hard to be home for 'naptime'. He mostly naps in the carseat, or wrapped up on me. I need some sort of routine!

I've been wondering about moving to 2 naps a day too. I can't remember when that happens! M has been having shorter naps lately, like 30 mins to 1 hour about 3 times a day. I'm wondering if I go to 2 set times it might work better? When we're out and about he just sleeps most of the time. LOL. He loves his car seat. Weird, right?

We have 2-3 naps here. Depends on how long, and if you count him being up at 5am until 6 and then going back to sleep as a nap or as nighttime sleep. I make sure he gets at least one good long nap at home, and the others are a bit more variable... Somedays (like yesterday) he had a really hard time napping, but usually it's something like this. Wake up for 3-4 hours (maybe a little less if he's exhausted) then sleep. Usually he'll do at least an hour sometimes 2, if it's really short it changes the next part but we'll go with usual. Then up for 2 hours, then down for another nap. At least one nap has to be a two hour nap or he's way too tired. Then up until bedtime (usually 3-4 hours again) at ~7. If he was up early or his naps were short, I'll try to get him to have another 20-30 minutes (but he'll only do that on me) at around 5 oclock so that he won't want bed at 6 since then he'd be up way too early in the morning.

We either have 3 short naps (about 45 minutes) or 2 naps, 1 short and 1 long. I have never been a scheduler, but I have noticed that Jonah has his own routine.
