Hi everyone, I?m back.
I was having trouble with my internet and got the flu. Both ends not fun, my daughter got it too! First time I have ever seen her throw up. It was an experience I will never forget.
Then yesterday I woke up with my underpants full of blood! We went in and found out that i have a tear in my placenta. The baby looked great though. It had a strong heartbeat, and was flipping and log rolling everywhere. It was great to see how much the baby changed in a week. Now you can see the head, body, legs, and arms. I also saw its butt! That was the silver lining. I am now on bed rest for an undetermined amount of time. I have to stay on bed rest for at least one week after the bleeding stops, whenever that will be.
The doc said that in most cases the tear will resolve itself if I lay low, but in some cases it gets bigger and you can lose the baby. I am soooo scarred. My daughter is also attached already, kissing the belly and being very possessive of the ultrasound pictures. I am thinking of getting my own fetal Doppler so I can hear the movement and placenta working and eventually the heartbeat. That will be a big reassurance for me.
I want to look up more information in it as soon as I can, just wanted to update you lovely ladies.
Yikes so scary. Wishing for the best for youAnd sorry about the flu, we had something similar to through our family when I was pg with my second and the only thing worse than going through it yourself is also having your baby have it (especially so young and they have no idea what's going on!).
