So the clot is gone now but it has left that spot which was feeding it exposed. Now it is like a scab that can reopen at any time and bleed which can cause an abrupt ion and quick labor. It can happen with any bump or trauma to my belly. If I go into quick labor there will not be enough time for steroid shots to be effective. Babies born this early can have long term problems including cerebral palsy, so I get my first shot Thursday, they need to be at least 23 weeks 5 days, and the second 24 hours later on Friday. The shot will help her brain development for ever and her lungs for two weeks. At 28 weeks the steroids will help the lungs more long term. So if labor is indicated in two weeks, and i haven't had her yet, I will get another set.
The cervix is long so they didn't keep me in the hospital today, and as of right now I don't need pergesterone shots. There was no blood in the fluid either, and shes still a girl. Given my case tho I am told I can have her at any moment. She is measuring behind tho except for length. Her brain was measuring 21 weeks 2 days, her long bones at 26 weeks. They can't be certain but they believe she is behind because of the bleeding causing the placenta to be less efficient. Because of this it is important I at least make it to 26 weeks. My long term goal is 28.
So for now no walking except to bathroom, so wheel chairs to OB etc. I also can't have Elora on me at all. 5 weeks, here we go.
Sending you some *keep on baking* vibes.
Aweeee, Kia. I'm so sorry to read all of this. What a whole lot of stress! You've been working so hard at keeping this sweet baby inside...I really hope this all turns out great.
Just when I think I'm having a bad day, I think of all you have had to endure and how strong and brave you are. It makes my problems seem like nothing. *hugs* and let's keep that wee girl baking!
Sorry you are going through this. I am going to warn you, the steroid shots are horrible. The really hurt, I was on morphine for gallstones when I had mine and did not get the full effect and they were horrible. I watched other moms and felt really bad for them. They do help though so they are worth it. Not sure if there are any tips to make the shots better but I would ask or maybe do an internet search.
Hope baby bakes as long as possible.

I am so sorry you are dealing with this! Yuck!
I know it's hard to not be able to do normal mommy stuff. Hang in there. She may be missing out for a little while but she will gain the long term benefit of a sister thanks to all your hard work right now and someday she will really appreciate this sacrifice you are making.
I have had the steroid shots with each of my kids, a couple different times with my first and then 2nd. I really didnt feel it was that bad. What was worse was being on mag. sulfate, or the side effects of the tributaline. Hopefully my little niece will be a good girl and stay put till June. Maybe she will even share a birthday with her other aunt, or even her big cousin
