Starting to feel more normal

I give all you ladies you have had C-sections so many kudos for not b**tching about it like I have, lol!

Feeling more normal today. Still at a slow speed, but not as hard to sit and stand.

Baby Girl had her first appointment today. 35 weeks and she is in the 75th percentile for height and head circumference compared to full term! Craziness. She's 25th for weight.

She eats a lot, but falls asleep at my breast a lot. We are giving her EBM via bottle too to make sure she isn't 'faking' it when breastfeeding which is what the lactation consultants warned me about pre-term baby nursers.

She had a small skin tag on her ear and we had that tied off today. Sad to see her cry, but it was in a spot that would have been a nuisance for her as she grew. Also, found out that she has two strawberry patches on her eyelids. I think they are barely noticeable and the doctor thinks they will be gone by 1 year.

She sleeps ALOT. I almost get worried, but she was quiet in my belly too. We'll have an ultrasound on her hips at 6 weeks because she was breech, but doctor says she looks good and it is only precautionary.

I hope everyone else is doing well! Can't wait to see more pics of these babies!

Trust me, if I had to have a c/s I'd be whining and crying a lot more than you have. You are handling it just fine! In glad everything is going well. Smile

C-sections suck girl. I'm with you on that. That's why I want so badly to have a vbac this time. Hearing talk about them just gives me more and more strength to stick with my vbac plan.

Hugs to you. I hope things get better quickly.

Heather I'm with you on that. I am praying that you are able to have your vbac too. The doctor doesnt think it should be a problem for you right?
I lived that article you posted about breech and vaginal delivery. Too sad more doctors aren't trained to deliver that way.

So glad you are feeling better. My second had a strawberry mark between her eyes (real light) and it was pretty much gone somewhere in the year-2 year range. It use to be if she was upset it would show up a little, but even that doesn't really make it show anymore.

Oh, and my mom said that when I was born (at 36 weeks) that was the biggest struggle for the first 2 weeks - getting me awake enough to eat! It's just something you have to work through for a little while, and she will eventually "wake up."

There is no known reason why I shouldn't be able to have a vbac. DD's breech presentation was the only reason for my c-sect.

I'm so glad u r feeling better. I hope her hips are just fine but the harness isn't too bad as it turns out so not too big a deal. I'm more at ease with it than I thought. I'm so glad she's so healthy! Ema just started nursing easier TODAY, just took practice for her I guess.

Glad you're feeling better! I'm sure in would complain excessively if I had a c-section.
