    Default stroller question

we took our evenflo stroller to the beach the other night and it was HORRIBLE trying to keep up with DH and a 4 yr old! So I've been looking into a more compact stoller for when we go to the fair next week and the beach again (this time with a 4, 10 and 12 yr old) I've been searching and they are all more than I want to pay.. though I found one at our local walmart for 89 (though its not listed on the website for that) I want something that doesnt feel like Im pushing a minivan but more like a smart car... Someone on our local swap pages listed that they had one that didnt take the infant seat but had a baby head rest. It dawned on me that I could possibly put baby in the stroller WITHOUT the infnat seat? our stroller reclines so I could just tilt it back and put him int he 5 pt harness right? We didnt use the stroller much when DS1 was little... mostly when he was out of the infant seat. Anyone else use a stroller that doesnt ahve the infant seat attach? (I know this is probably a duh answer but Im tired and no brain over this way!)

If you want to put him in a stroller without the infant seat it needs to fully recline I think. When K was 3.5 weeks old we took her out of town for the Olympics and I put her flat in a stroller so she could lay down and sleep.

I hate regular strollers because they are such a pain to push. The only plus to them is the infant seat will snap in. I had gotten rid of all of our strollers except for our jogging stroller, so that is what I have used with Jonah a couple of times. He pretty much slept the entire time. I let the back down as low as it would go and used this for his head: Amazon.com: Boppy Noggin Nest Head Support, Brown Wheels: Baby

I love the Boppy Noggin Nest, I use it in the swing, bouncy seat, stroller, anything he sits or lays in except his car seat.

We LOVE our BOB stroller. We had one with DD but it was pink so we traded it with someone for a blue one. It roll SO great one almost every terrain. Even when it's heavy, it doesn't feel hard to push because the wheels are so great.

Here is K and M at the mall the other day. K has turned it into a double stroller. :P

I second the bob, but its pricey.

I think if you fully recline you'll be fine. What about a baby carrier instead?

    Lurker...

Amazon.com: Graco Trekko Classic Connect Stroller, Metropolis: Baby

We bought this one this time to try for the same reason that our old one won't go on most surfaces. We haven't actually used it yet, but I imagine that with the larger wheels it should be just fine. It will accept a Graco carseat, and it also will lay down completely flat and turn into a bassinet type seat.

We found ours at Discount Shopping at the Best Deals - NoBetterDeal.com for less then $100.

For sure. We bought ours used so it wasn't as bad.
