Target gift card.

I got a target ad in the mail the other day, it was all baby stuff. On the back they had a coupon so that if I printed off my registry and took the coupon up to guest services they give you a free 20 dollar gift card. I took it up yesterday and free money woot.

I got that same thing. Smile DH wants me to make a registry, but I don't feel right about doing it. It would be a "fake" since there is nothing that we need and no one would even look at it.

Laurie, you should do it even if it only has like three items on it.

I think it said one per registry, but if you had two coupons and two separate registries I wouldn't see why not, but i dunno.

I think she's asking if hubby can pick it up for her as she's on bed rest.

I remember that from last time! I have a love/hate relationship with Target. I LOVE to shop there, I HATE to deal with anything customer service related. I have never had a good experience.

bwahaha my brain refuses to work most days. They didn't ask me for an I.D. and if you put him on there as the father it wouldn't matter anyhow. He should be able to go pick it up.

I was just reading an article the other day about how Target tracks and analyzes your shopping to find out when you are pregnant in order to send you special deals so that you will switch some of your other shopping to Target as well. Apparently pregnancy/new mommyhood is the best time to get people to switch their buying habits. But they need to be able to know when you're only in the second tri so they have time to send you stuff and get you in more before the baby comes. Anyways, hearing that you got all deals for baby stuff/gift cards just confirms what I read - interesting! And kind of creepy.

I have a Target Red Card.. completely convinced they're tracking and monitoring my purchases. Not a big deal to me.. I'm too deep in as an addict to care. ROFL

I'm with you. I don't care if they want to know what i'm buying. It's no secret.

Did you hear about the dad who found out his teenage daughter was pg because of a Target mailout?

I started a registry about two months ago to track what I wanted to buy and also because my sister made me, so they may know from that. I am not a fan of stores tracking what I buy though, I use my sisters grocery store rewards, though I am sure they somehow can track what I buy with my debit card (our online banking has so crazy ven diagram of how and where we spend our money and the catagories get pretty specific like why do you know that I bought food stuffs at CVS??) The only way I see around this is to go completely with cash, but who has time for that. Plus, I already registered when I bought my gun with the state, who cares that they know I saved a dollar on toilet paper... sorry I am ranting...
