Who's on team green with me? I think we need a support group. It's SO hard watching everyone find out! I sort of wish I knew... LOL
I'll make u a "my June 2013 cuddlebug is a surprise" blinkie to help!
Our first was a surprise in 2007 and honestly I don't even remember what it was like not to know! I seem to have blocked it from my memory.....LOL.
Stay strong! What an awesome surprise you'll have in the delivery room!
Aweeee, thanks Kia. Every time I get asked if I want to know the sex, it gets harder to say no.
Hang in there!! :bigarmhug: If it's any consolation, I'm soooo jealous!
I'm team green with you!!! I agree its hard to watch everyone else find out but it's sooooo cool in the delivery room! You will love it!!
I hope it's worth it!!! Ahhhhhh...I'm excited!
The most annoying part is we're having troubles with girl names. If we KNEW it was a boy, we could stop trying to figure it out.
Our #3 was a surprise. We never did come up with a boy name... thankfully she was a girl!
It's totally worth it! I've done it both ways and its definitely so amazing to hear it in the delivery room! We seem to always have trouble with boy names. So I totally get why it's so frustrating. But you will get there!
The funniest thing is we had troubles with boy names for DD...and this time it's the opposite! Maybe it's a boy? Hummmm....
We have a girl first name so at least we're that far. BA HA HA!
Laurie, are you finding out this time?
Yeah, we're finding out. Honestly, it was a let down to us to wait. I thought the moment of "It's a girl" would be much more powerful, and instead... it's just wasn't! So, for us, we much prefer to find out early.
Ahhh ok. Well, with DD I had no 'it's a girl' moment at all. No one said anything. I couldn't see. That was more of a let-down. I know they TOLD us she was a girl but I still wanted to hear once someone SAW it. Because it was a DNA test I never saw anything before.
Yeah, no one has ever said, "It's a ..." at any of the other births... and I did ask, "Is it still a ...?" When they were born. But it didn't really bother me.
I think since it did feel like a let down for you when you did it the "other way" you will likely find this way very exciting.
For me it's always harder to find a girls name.. thankfully mine are both boys Lol. I am not sure why.. maybe bc I have several that are maybes and boy names I have a couple I debate on but with this one I just knew what I wanted to name him!
Stay strong, I'm sure it will be totally worth it for that moment!!
Yes, it's totally worth it in my opinion. I really enjoyed being team green last time. I actually enjoyed everyone guessing and gasping over how could I possibly wait more than wanting to find out. It was so fun!! I also loved the excitement during labor...just added another element to how psyched I was to meet my new baby. I think you'll be super happy to have waited later on.
TEAM GREEN! TEAM GREEN! TEAM GREEN! GOOOOOOOO TEAM GREEN!!!!
It seems like we are few and far between. I did have an "it's a girl moment" with DD, and it was AWESOME! Also, with DD we didn't have a boy's name picked out. Or even a short list. So I wouldn't worry about that. This time, we actually have a first name for both (although I'm still not sure) but considering I hate almost all boy's names - having a potential is a freakin' miracle.
The only reason I'm a little nervous not knowing this time, is 'cause I know DH really wants a boy. I know he will love either, but he talks about it a lot. And comes up with stupid reasons why this must be a boy. For example, his friend has a boy, and they are due the same time as us and just found out it's a girl - therefore we must also be having the "opposite". Umm.. seriously? I told him he has to stop talking about it so much, cause I don't feel it's fair to the baby!
Anyways - enough of that rambling. WOOO TEAM GREEN!
I so admire you for going green!! It will be so exciting
thats why i've stopped thinking of names. i feel girl but everyone that has seen me is saying boy so now im like crap i'll just wait until my ultrasound and think about it then i have 1 girl name i like and no boy names so i'll just wait
Still TEAM GREEN here Heather! I fould it very hard to keep the surprise when all The May girls were finding out but I pulled through. I kept thinking of how awesome it will be at the birth and how I can still go out and buy both gender baby clothes! I love to tell people we did not find out because it just kills them, lol
I am having a hard time finding a boys name as well and still don't have a girls name but found a few I like.
here it is. Sorry its not too great but i tried. For some reason it wouldn't let me change the whole background color!
How are my team green friends doing? We're having a 3D u/s tomorrow and I'm hoping we don't see anything. Eeeps!
Doing good! Hopefully no surprises are ruined for you! Enjoy it!!
Heather: looks like you made it through the u/s without any reveals
I'm living vicariously through you girls...can't wait to find out what you are all having!!
Yes, no reveal but we're thinking boy based on what the ultrasound tech said. She first said she was glad she didn't know the sex because it was easier to pretend she didn't. Then she said she may have seen something. Hubby called her out and said you don't just 'maybe see something' on a girl. LOL. Who knows...time will tell!
Maybe she meant she may have seen something in that she got a good look, not that she saw something in particular
I am glad I was going to find out, because at our u/s the tech just took a QUICK look between the legs and there was no mistaking it, I instantly saw it was a girl plain as day. Soooo maybe it is something like that in your case! Could go either way! You team greeners are amazing, I could never wait lol!
Oooo glad the surprise wasn't ruined!!
I agree with Hilary...her comment could really go either way.
