Tonight DD suggested baby come out of my tummy through my mouth....then she suggested maybe my belly button. Oh man...I thought she was still young enough to not try to figure that out! LOL.
My 5 year old is behind on her sex ed.....I still haven't told her where the baby comes out from.....looks like this is the year to do it. Last year she was satisfied with "The Dr helps me get the baby out". Not so much this year.
I'm sort of hoping DD doesn't think to ask... she's not quite two, but I tend to tell her things pretty frankly. And I don't really want her running around saying "the baby will come out from the vagina". Since right now she talks enough about pee and poop and people's bums and pee coming from the vagina. Right now she's satisfied with "the baby is coming in June" and that it will just magically appear. But she's quite smart, and I'm a little nervous someday it will dawn on her.
ETA: I got it! Use the words "birth canal"!
When I was little my mom told me babies come out of your "baby hole" that was down by where you pee. I assumed this was something you grew later in life as I just assumed pee came from your vagina area so it must be a different spot. Lol!
My great-niece was 18 months when she watched her baby brother born during a home birth. For about 2 months later she was watching her mom to see if another baby was going to come out. LOL. She is now 10 and has watching another sibling be born when she was 5.
