I have all that stuff i didnt have a machine breast pump but a hand pump if i breast feed this time i'm going to try to use it again. I only breast fed for a month because ds had a milk protein allergy so he had to be on a special formula and i didnt really produce much milk to pump, this time around i just might do both breast feed at home and formula feed in public or when im out in about (was never really comfortable with that)

Ya, I always hated the public breastfeeding too unless I could be sneaky about it. We often just did it in the car if we were out. Our big shopping mall has a nursing room so that's nice...if it's not taken. I borrowed a breast pump last time so I'm pretty floored by how expensive they are considering I don't use them THAT much. Once I'm 'out' I'll see if any of my mom friends have one I can borrow or if they want to sell one. Some of my DD's friends are already sibilings and they aren't planning any more kids. We'll see. I hope I find something because $200 is a LOT of money.

Glad it went well! I bet it's a relief to be over with it!

I used my beast pump all the time! I made too much and stored a lot. I got mine free from my insurance. Often they don't advertise it but you can get a nice one free from them, never hurts to check.

I'm not sure if we can in Canada, but I guess it doesn't hurt to check.

our insurance gave us a hand pump for free so we used that, but between breast feeding and pumping my poor nipples were so raw

its amazing that insurances do that because it saved us. my nipples also hurt some but i got used to it. it was better than dealing with the alternative which for me was recurring mastitis.
