    Default Thank You!

Thank you all for the love and support you've offered over the last few days. It has been immensely hard but your support helped me make it through!

In the end we had far more interventions than we wanted but due to the circumstances we did what had to be done. In the end we're both happy and health. I'll type up the birth story once we're home.

We're staying at the hospital tonight but hoping to go home tomorrow. I'm falling asleep typing this so I better go to sleep. Thanks again!

Get all the rest you can while you are there! I am so proud of you. That was one heck of a labor but you did it!

Yes, yes. It very much sucked. The worse part had to be the shooting pains down my thighs. They were there for every contraction from mid-Friday on. After their broke my water they got worse. I couldn't even feel my uterus contracting just that pain. Hubby and the Doula took turns massaging and doing pressure points on my hips to try to stop the pain from radiating down but it rarely worked. I had hubby massage my thighs so hard that he said his hand were sore and I know have bruises down my thighs! All of that pain made me clench my bum, which is what I thought might have been holding my dilation up...but even after the epidural I was still so slow to dilate. It took me over 2.75 days to get to 4 cm, then 2hrs to get from 4 to 10. How ridiculous!

Anyways, ya, that all sucked pretty bad but the ending is good. Vbac and a healthy boy. Looks like I got a breastfeeding star here! Picking it up so fast. There's a learning curve for me too, remembering all this stuff again!

Marshall let us get some great sleep last night! A gift we really needed. He went to sleep at 8:30 pm and was still asleep at 4am when the nurse and I decided we should probably wake and feed him! So we did. The he went back to sleep easily and is cozy in his bassinet at 6:30 am.

Worse part about the hospital is people checking on you ALL night. Ugh! Then is guy with zero bed side manners wakes us at 6am to take my blood. Hey, if you're waking me up to stick needles in me, at least be friendly about it.

Things seem to be going great so I'm super hopeful we'll go home tonight. Ahhhhhh...

I'm so glad that Marshall is a great nurser and letting you get some good sleep!! I hope you can head home before nightfall as well... it does get annoying when they check on you ALL night long!
