    Default TMI - Can't poo

I'm so backed up and writhing in pain. Sure it's a zofran side effect on top of being pregnant, but I am seriously miserable. Any ideas for fairly quick relief? I almost want to go to urgent care this hurts so bad.

Suppository? or maybe just a fleet enema. Try that and if it doesn't help then I would go to urgent care. Then ask your doc about stool softeners.

ugh, that's the worst part of pregnancy. I got it so bad with DD. I had to manage it by eating prunes regularly. Do you have any food that will irritate your tummy and make you poo? Fish and chips do it for me. LOL. I haven't had a real problem yet this pregnancy but I've been making an effort to have apple juice every day.

I think Miralax is suppose to be safe during pregnancy??? I've heard of other women using it anyway, at least I think. I have the opposite problem, slightly more than regular, but I'll take it over being backed up any day! I really hope you can get some relief soon.

My friend on another BB had the same problem with Zofran. So sorry, that's miserable. I have that problem just from pregnancy (probably not to the extent you're suffering) and Milk of Magnesia worked great for me. GL hope you find relief!!

my Ob's list says milk of magnesia 1tbs at bedtime and if no relief after 2 nights to call. I have had trouble with constipation when I take my prenatal. so I stopped taking it for a while (I was in pain) and just took folic acid instead. it helped. but this preg my intestines seem to dislike me... if its not one thing its another... and tonight something I ate must not have agreed with me (though its been more like the entired day) I have had a great big gas bubble in my belly that won't go away. it hurts!

Patience, sorry you're in pain too. I'll give some of y'all's suggestions a shot. I tried colace last night, but it's done nothing. I'm not hurting quite as bad today, and I'm not near as bloated, but I still want relief!

Here's how bloated I was last night.

    And here's this morning:

Sorry I look so annoyed, I just feel rather bad!

Yep, that's some serious bloat! That actually was probably part of the pain - bloating on top of being backed up!

Colace will only help you go more easy.. sounds like you're already backed up beyond a colace point, mama.

Dulcolax worked for me.. (2 little tabs in the AM because it will kick in about 8 hours later.. DON'T take it at 4pm like me.. you'll be up ALL night with poos ugh..)

Miralax I hear is a good one, too.

    So sorry you're hurting.
