Default Ugh, not looking forward to this weekend.

So, my grandfather has decided he wants a family picture. Which would be great except, half of the kids (myself included) are fighting, my older brother refuses to come to any family ever me and my little sister are at (been like this for three years). I have seen him once at a funeral, and that went terrible with me yelling at him on the elevator for being a stubborn a**. So, either he and his family will come (pretty sure he will because he is getting left most everything in grandfathers will, and grandfather probably threatened to write him out of it), and we will all pretend that the others aren't there, or there will be blood shed.

Also I can't find anything I look remotely nice in, I look weirdly fat, and not pregnant in the least, I am thinking about trying to squeeze into a girdle or something, but ughhhhh.

So this weekend is going to be a bucket of fun.

Oh boooo! That sucks! Hopefully everyone can just bit their tongues for a picture and be done with it. Grandpa won't be here forever and I'm sure it will make him happy. Hopefully it's just an hour or two and not a whole day event! Ugh!

(I am at odds with my SIL but luckily she moved away 3 years ago and I haven't had to see her. PHEW!)

Well the picture isn't scheduled until 6:30 in the evening, so there is no chance of it taking all day. Grandfather is only doing this because his wife wants the picture (not related to me, and who I have not liked since she started sh** talking my mother), she is a gossipy type and is most of the reason for the fight with my brother (along with brothers gossipy wife).

But whatevs, I just planned on ignoring him, but we will see how it goes.

I have a couple more shops to go to to look for something decent to wear. The big thing is I don't want to spend a lot of money on something I will wear once.

Ok, 6:30 is a great time...because DS will need to get home for his bedtime routine...right? *wink* *wink*

I hear ya on the clothes thing. Do you have any consignment shops nearby? What about a friend you can borrow something from for an hour?

A family picture, yikes!! I've never done one of those, and I'm sure I never will. We aren't big on pics in this family I guess. We don't even have a family pic of "our" family... well not since my third dd was born anyway.

Sorry about your family situation. I just have one sister and we don't see each other much which actually keeps the relationship in "better" shape. I husband has 2 brothers who he very rarely sees. That's also a good thing. Keeps their relationship MUCH better!

Oh yikes, sorry! I hate doing family pictures even though my family totally gets along so I can only imagine.

Good luck finding something to wear. Not sure what the weather's like where you are, but what about wearing a scarf to down play any belly you might have? That's what I've been doing when we go out with friends

lol There isn't much downplaying that can be done, it's the weird muffin top sides that are the issue, I managed to squeeze into my tummy squisher, you can totally tell I am pregnant, but the muffin top is under control now, and it is helping with the muscle pain I have been having. I have decided against a dress, I found a decent sweater at the thrift store, I'll have to post a picture at some point.

We aren't a picture type family, this is because grandfathers wife has cancer and I think is trying to make her feel better. I'll get through it, I just wish we didn't have to do this.

That's a total bummer. I get how it is to have a family that doesn't get along. I don't get along with my mother and she loves to pretend that she it the token grandmother and amazing mother. Meanwhile if I didn't speak to her I would be happier. But me and my brother get sucked into family garbage with them too. And we both hate it! Good luck! Hopefully you get through the evening quickly!
