Sorry for posting irregularly, but I do try to read.
I've had more ultrasounds than I've like due to placenta previa, but I had one today that let me know that my placenta's moved out of the way and that my LO is growing like weed. They estimated his weight at 4 pounds 9 ounces!!!
I'm afraid he's going to be a big boy!
Way to grow! And awesome that the placenta has moved out of the way!
They usually gain about 1/2 lbs a week during the last couple months, so I'd say you'll be in for at least an 8 lb-er. But I wouldn't trust the U/S weight guess TOO much. I know people who were told the baby was over 9 lbs, then when it was born it was less than 8.
Yay for a good update...glad to hear your placenta moved .
My oldest was born at 33 wks 4 days and weighed 4 lb 12 oz. I figured he would have been big has I carried to term. I wish I could remember what they said he weighed via u/a just days before. I think it was around a lb more than actual. Sounds like you're right on target for this babe to be in the range of your other 2.
WOOT! for placenta moving up!
Woohoo that your placenta has moved - great news!!
As far as weight, I would be a bit worried too although like others have said, it isn't that reliable. I have a friend who was induced early because she was supposedly having a 9 pounder and he was like 7.5 lbs. Go figure.
