Yay I'm so glad you had fun!! Did they ever find out why it took longer for you to get pregnant Heather?

We don't REALLY know. DH had low morphology in his tests (I think that's what it was) but he already had a DD and clearly we DID get pg, so??? We had gone to an OB/GYN here at the 1 year mark of TTC. Everything looked good on my charts as far as O'ing went. I think I had that bloodwork to confirm O and all was well. I went in for the HSG to check my tubes 10 days before O on the cycle I got PG. You are more fertile for 3 cycles after an HSG so apparently that helped. Not sure if it was the cleaning out the HSG did that helped or the different chemicals in my system? I don't know much about it really. They had me scheduled for exploratory surgery for endo 6 months after the HSG to rule that out, but it was cancelled as I was pg. My friend isn't totally convinced I don't have endo because I have been having some pretty painful periods lately. She has it and knows a lot about it. So the long and short of it is WHO knows. LOL.

Sorry if I said something weird..ha. I'm probably too used to talking to the girls from my old board. But that's interesting Heather, I'm glad things worked out Smile I didn't know there were chemicals involved with the HSG test.

Something weird??? I'm didn't notice anything.

Well, the HSG involved shooting you full of radio active dye and then watching it on an xray type machine...so it must be some sort of chemicals, right? I'm not sure...but I know it's painful and GROSS. You leak radioactive dye for days afterwards. Urmmmmm...

Have you thought about giving DH some vitamins, etc to boost his fertility, too? Just in case? I am at work, so I'm not going to google them right now, but I know I've read stuff somewhere Biggrin

And ick to the dye. I did radioactive iodine for my thyroid, so I'm sure my pee was toxic.

Ya, DH took a bunch of that stuff for conceiving our daughter. Even quit drinking. LOL. What a nice guy. I hope we don't have to do all that nonsense this time...but if we're still here in 6 months, it might come down to that.

Toxic pee. LOL!

All these tests are so crazy. I feel for you ladies going through all that. Fortunately, I haven't had a problem getting pg before. I am thinking about trying the B vits for the LP issue, but I have a Dr appt next week for unrelated stuff, so I'll ask her opinion then. It'd be too late for this cycle anyways.

I'm so weird. I totally intended to be all relaxed about getting pg this time around, but now I'm on a mission. I'm already figuring out when I can POAS, and I haven't even o'd yet. Partly because we don't want to have too much more space between these two, and either I or DH will be away the next 2 months at "that" time. Tomorrow's supposed to be O day. Have my fingers crossed as far as they'll go!

I'm the same way Veronica. I said I wouldn't get obsessed...but it's hard not to!!!!

So I just did my first OPK...cd11. I think it was whiter than my last HPT! HA HA! Guess I'm off the hook for DTD today. PHEW! Poor hubby!

Hey ladies! Jumping in here...I'm on CD 2 today and hoping to make this month my home! This will be our 9th cycle TCC number 2. I ovulate pretty regularly but my last couple of cycles my LP has only been nine days...hoping that has been jus a fluke thing---really hoping I won't see AF again after this month! Good luck to all of you!

Welcome, Katey! A few of us are having the same LP issue, so hopefully we'll get it sorted out.

Heather - don't you just hate it when you POAS and it's all white?! And I laughed at your comment about poor DH. I'm all over mine right now, and he's never into it unless we're trying to have a baby, so he hopes we catch this eggie even more than I do!

It's funny, after my post about obsessing, I realized I had made porridge out of my lovely, fresh spinach ravioli as I was typing Sad
I guess it proves a point, though Smile

It's the opposite here...I'm more interested in dtd when we're making a baby. Blum 3

oh ok I didn't know if the jeopardy music was b/c I said something weird...I'm not always very good at interpreting things on the internet so LOL nevermind. Radioactive dye whoa that's crazy! I've heard it can make you more fertile b/c it like flushes out the tubing or something. Weird! I'm hoping you dont' have to do any of that this time.

Hi Katey!

Veronica let us know what the doctor says about the B6.

I've just been more into dtd I think since going off the pill. My drive has gone up so much, I don't think I will go back on hormonal birth control.

Omg, I was the same way after birth control. While on it I was like, "meh" when it came to dtd and as soon as I got off the pill I was like a 16 year old hormone driven teenager all over again, lol.

I am only into dtd when TTC any other time I can pretty much leave it and have no interest. Breastfeeding tanked what tiny libido I had, It's a chore right now while TTC and I keep hoping for a bfp so I can be off the hook.
Not sure if my opks will make it in time, last week when I realised I would need more was pretty crazy and I only ordered on Saturday which was he furst time since af arrived on Thursday that I had been home.

LOL on the music! I think we were all just busy rather than ignoring you! Smile I work outside the home on Mon, Wed and Thurs so you won't see me on during the day those days of the week.

I hate hormonal BCP! They suck!

Haha, about the music... just did it because this is that time of the month where we're all sort of waiting for things to happen, I think Smile Sorry for the confusion.

About the libido thing, anyone else actually want to DTD more when O is near? I have found that's pretty much the only time of month I want to do it, whether TTC or not. I have to say that even though I fully intend to BF again, BFing really messed up my hormones soooo bad and I hope it will be more stabilized this time around. I am making an extremely conscious effort to control my eating habits in hopes that a balanced diet will help that.

Haha that's ok. I sometimes do notice a little bit of an increase in my libido close to ovulation but, weirdly, I notice it more around the end of my period. Can't really think of a biological reason for that lol.

Did anyone else experience a lot of hair loss after giving birth? My hair started shedding/thinning when my son was maybe 6-12 months old and it hasn't stopped since. I don't know if that means something is wrong with my hormones or if I'm just going to have to start wearing a wig when I'm 40 like most of the women in my family haha.

I work outside the home too. I have a totally weird schedule that is different every day because my job is client based. I actually have a job interview tonight and I really hope I get it so I can have a normal schedule. DH is a junior in college studying accounting and works part time. What does everyone do?

I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be that way. That's nature's way of ensuring the human species procreates. It's the same for a lot of female animals I think. Wink

I've found I'm at the stage in TTC where I'm getting jealous of pg people. On no! Guess this thing is getting more serious!

same here the only time im interesting in DTD is during fertile time, got a nice big spike this morning so it looks like I O'd on CD 14 which is better than last month which was CD 11 i started earlier than i normally do and i tried doing it on even days since looking at my charts it looks like I did it on Odd days, so crossing my fingers this is my month cause i honestly am starting to want to give up after 17 cycles

How could you NOT want to give up? I 'only' took us 15 cycles with DD and I had that feeling many times. TTC is exhausting and emotional. *hugs*

No idea when I will O this month, it varies from CD15 to CD18. I'm on CD10 so going to start DTD every other day until I know I O'd. I'm tired just thinking about it! LOL

I'm in the same boat as you! When was your LO born? In theory, if I conceive on this cycle, it'll be a 5 yr. 5 month gap between #2 & #3. I definitely never thought that would happen but life just got in the way. I really want to have 2 right in a row (Irish twins, haha) but DH wants this to be the last because he's financially practical and logical and all of that nonsense Dirol

I am also more interested in DTD when fertile, but I'm always more into it than DH.

I'm a professional ballroom dancer and he's a PhD student, and he's defending next week. I'm so proud of him.

Can also relate to not wanting the kids too far apart. Ours are 3 yrs and if I get pg this cycle, the DS2 and #3 would be 3 yrs as well, which is already long for my preferences.

I thought I'd O today on CD19 as usual, but no temp spike, though the other signs are there. Maybe tomorrow? DH is getting fed up with my once a day plan, so I hope it happens soon. We actually had an argument about it last night. It's hard b/c I work late in the evenings, and he's always too tired when I get home, but it's our only opportunity.

My DD will be 3 in January so it looks like our two will be close to or over 3.5 years apart. I hope i get pg soon!

So today is cd 12...my normal O date is cd 15...but I had a VERY white opk yesterday...so I'm not sure how it can get to positive by cd 14 or 15...so we'll see. Maybe I'll O late? Hummmm. I checked my old chart from TTC dd when I used opks and it looks like I never got a positive but temped an O. Weird, right? Anyways.... LOL

LOL! My DH is the same way. I'd like 4 but will settle with 3 kids if he really doesn't want another after #3. My first two are 17months16 days apart. Not Irish twins, but close enough for my liking! LOL

I'm already jealous of pregnant people too! It sucks when it takes longer than expected. I hope everyone gets a bfp soon!! right now #1 and 2 will be 3 years 3 months apart which is getting to be too long for me!! Though I think in general 3 years is a good age gap.

I think 3 years is good. My daughter is already so helpful that I can imagine in 9 months she'll be that much better. Also, with that sort of gap we won't need a double stroller! Score.

I just found out another fb friend is pg. Second today! Oh, and I also found out my co-worker's wife is pg. So three today! Bloody hell.

Oh, so our next work conference is early May in Vegas. This will be our 5th trip to Vegas (4th for conference there). Anyways, the boss said he assumed we'd all be going. Ummmm...YES! As long as I'm not super PG. I don't want to worry about delivering a preemie in the USA. Our health care is MUCH cheaper. LOL! Anyways, I didn't muddy the water with all that. I'm sort of glad I didn't get pg last cycle because I would have been due DURING conference...and DH is expected to go. That wouldn't have worked.

I'm sorry you have been waiting a while Sad The way I try to keep positive month after month is just to think *when* it happens it will make it that much more special because DH and I have waited so long for that little one. I say when because I truly think it will happen for all of us, I just think it is going to take longer than we want.

Lauren - welcome to June!

Katey - I think that's the worst when you hear it took someone only 1 or 2 cycles... And for some crazy reason, I am even more jealous when I hear about twins. I'm sure it's not really all 'matching outfits and cute interactions' but I would totally want twins if it was up to me!

I used to always want twins, but now it scares me a little! We want one more, of course we would love twins if that happened, but aaaah, 5 kids sounds like a to more than 4.

Hubby keeps saying we will have twins next. He has said baby will be a girl, funny he was right with DS as well, to the point he's not overly interested in thinking of boy names because we have a girls name leftover from DS. Twins scare me a little, mostly because I do it all pretty much on my own with minimal help from hubby even the few times he is home so a toddler and two babies scares me a little, but if we have twins I will just make it work. My clingy little Mummy's boy will have to learn a whole lot of independance quickly

Nice OPK. At least you HAVE a second line. GAH! I'm supposed to O tomorrow-ish and I still have NO second line. I want to scream.

Speaking of screaming...DH went out with his friend last night. I told him to be home early because we had baby making to do. Well, by 10:50pm he wasn't home and I was tired so I went to bed. He texted at 11 that he was on his way and arrived home at 11:39! WHAT???? That's not early! I'm usually going to sleep at 11 let alone wanting to START dtd then! UGH. So we didn't dtd. I'm a bit choked.
